Great for knitting/embroidery arts 8/20/2005

The Yarn Barn is a gathering place for those in San Antonio who love to knit/crochet/embroider. The center of the store is a community knitting bee, where women sit around and practice their craft and keep up on the times. The selection of specialty yarns is wonderful, and the needle and book options are endless. I love looking at the samples the ladies have made to get new project ideas and for different yarn combinations. more

Yarn Barn of San Antonio, TX has a vast selection of yarns, and books for knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and pleating. They even have crewel fabric ready for embellishment. Classes on knitting, crocheting, embroidery, embroidery, and pleating are offered. You may see people at a table knitting, crocheting or embroidering on projects in the store. more

Owner Message

  • The Yarn Barn is still open so don't go away!! The Yarn Barn opened its doors to needleworkers in 1971, creating a place filled with color, texture and inspiration. And in September 2012 the shop switched hands for a third time and we are working feverishly to get back to a full service shop. We carry knitting and crochet products from companies like Prism, Lone Star Arts, Coastergirl Creations, and Feza, more.
