Birthday Celebration 4/9/2009

I came to the restaurant with a few girlfriends to celebrate my birthday and I had a fantastic time. The service was friendly and the food was spectacular. All the girls loved dessert! The upstairs is very bright and we enjoyed the decor. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, attentive service more

Did not do as promised 12/6/2008

Pros- Everything tasted good, the waiter was exceptional. Pros: Food tasted good, service was great Cons: Reserved for upstairs and they put us downstairs, crowded seating, not romantic, very pricey for OK food and small portions more

BRAVOO! 11/2/2008

We started the evening with a perfect chilled bottle of wine. Then proceed to have one of my all time favorite meals in NY! Since there was a big group of us, I think I had a good chance to taste almost everything on the menu. But a few standouts amongst the rest were the sauteed sweetbreads , jumbo shrimp cocktail , the roasted organic chicken and filet mignon. Pros: Food, romantic more

Romantic Spot 2/19/2008

My boyfriend and I had a belated Valentine's Day dinner in the Upstairs friday night. The experience was phenomenal. Generally speaking, he is not all that into fine dining but he loved it! We had lump crab meat and black bass which were to die for and the wine was absolutely delicious. The star of the show is the captain Christopher. You could tell that he owned the room and made all of his guests feel as if they were at a friend's house rather than a fancy restaurant in midtown. We went the first time for a romantic spot, but we will go back for the incredible food and excellent service. Pros: Food, Service, Ambience more

Wonderful Night Out 2/4/2008

We had a great time at '21' - the restaurant upstairs was intimate and the service outstanding. We drank and talked for hours in the comfy corner table. The food was amazing and looked beautiful, almost too good to eat!! Almost! If you are looking for romantic atmosphere, great food and warm service - Upstairs at '21' is a must. Pros: Great Location, Best Service, Wonderful Food Loved Everything more

Perfect for business dinners and elegant nights out. 2/4/2008

Had a business dinner here recently. The upstairs room is beautifully painted and decorated. The staff is very professional and the service was very prompt. Portions are a bit small, but the food was very tasty. Excellent desserts. Pricey, but a must for that special night out or business dinner. Guys, make sure you wear a jacket and tie. Dress code is strictly enforced. '21' is very traditional, but that's what is great about it. more

21 is The One 6/16/2004

For anyone who enjoys good food, excellent beverages, superb service, and a refined atmosphere, 21 Club cannot be excelled. 21's managment clearly refuses to compromise any of the standards and methods which have made that establishment the premier eatery for almost 100 years. Bravo 21! I only hope that you continue to set the benchmark for another century. Pros: Best raw ingredients, Best chefs, Imperial service Cons: , None, None more
