Best service around!! 8/13/2008

Cannot get over how helpful the staff is in the store, actually held the door open for me. They offer so many services, copies, notary, passport photo's, custom packing. I was taking care of my parents estate and had a lot of things to do. I used almost every service they have. They packed an antique lamp for me and shipped it to my uncle in CA. It arrived in beautiful shape. I think the amount of work put into packing was very fairly priced. Shipping rates were the same at the store as they were posted on line and at the local UPS building. Such wonderful people, glad I found them. Pros: Great location, easy off the highway, plenty of parking. Cons: Wish they were opened later more

SAVE TIME AND MONEY - PRINT YOUR UPS SHIPPING LABELS AT UPS dot COM AND DROP OFF IN STORE! 4/25/2008

Hi,\r The UPS Store is a great place to drop off any prepaid return items you may have from stores like Amazon*dot*com, Lands End, Dell Computer, etc... \r \r The UPS Store is also a great place to drop off your prepaid ready to ship packages, whether you print your UPS label at UPS*dot*com or from a website like Paypal*dot*com when shipping an eBay auction item.\r \r With all the positives above, a reader may wonder why only a 2 star rating, I'll explain below.\r \r If you go into the store with a care package to ship, the sales people are trained to sell you a ""better"" box to ship your item in; these boxes cost $3.00 and up. In addition to selling you the box, they add on a charge for repackaging your item in this box, another charge of approximately $3.00, then the shipping charges are added which are basically double what you would pay online or at a UPS terminal. I understand that the store needs to have a mark up to stay in business, but there pricing seems more like gouging - I watched one customer spend $27 to ship a 3 pound package by Ground - outrageous.\r \r The other item that irks me about the UPS Store is that they are always offering to sell customers stamps, what they don't mention when they offer to sell the stamps they add over a $1.00 to the cost of the stamps. If the customer is made aware of this before the sale it would be fine, but they don't mention the surcharge and most people are accustomed to buying stamps at face value as a convenience from places like CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid or Grocery stores.\r \r An alternative to the UPS Store is Staples or Office Depot who are both Nationwide UPS Alliance Partners and offer the same services as a UPS store at a lower cost alternative.\r \r I hope that you have found my review informative and that it provides you with the resources and knowledge to help you save money when shipping your packages by UPS. Pros: Great to drop off prepaid UPS packages Cons: Excessive charges for boxes, packing materials, UPS rate mark-ups and printing more
