The Uncommon Market

I live in Wheeling, WV so I drive over an hour to visit the Uncommon Market - it's worth the trip! They have wonderful baked goods, prepared foods and canned foods that are simply not available at Krogers, Giant Eagle and other specialty markets. Some of the foods are locally made, and some are international from a variety of countries. The staff is unfailingly cooperative and friendly -- When I asked them to order a large quantity of a product I can't get locally, they offered to call me when it came in so I wouldn't make a trip unnecessarily. This place is just fun to walk around in and browse...just don't go in too hungry or you'll go crazy trying to narrow down your selection! Pros: Variety, quality, selection and service. Cons: Parking at the door is limited but there always seems to be enough...there is a big lot right across the road. more

The UnCommon Market offers such a great selection of prepared foods and can accomodate orders relatively quickly. I always get comments about how good the food that I serve is and many friends are now customers. The owner is particularly knowledgable about exotic-style foods and can answer most questions effectively and quickly. more
