I can highly recommend this tutoring center. Karin, the owner, has created a very warm and welcoming environment for the kids. My son always gave me a hard time going to tutoring and not the case with the Tutoring Center. I was doing only the summer and he actually asked me to stay through the Fall. What kids asks to stay in tutoring? Wow. What a great learning environment. Great job Karin. You have outstanding tutors at your facility. I cannot highly recommend this place enough. You will not disappointed. Love that they don't do contracts either and you can quit when you want and restart when you want. more

My child loves the Tutoring Center of Bellevue! Taking her here has eliminated the constant struggle to get her to enjoy doing math -- she's already much more confident. The center has a unique approach to teaching math, plus kids are motivated to earn points. I checked out Kumon and for the price, high quality study materials and great staff, this is well worth it. The free diagnostic test offered by the center reflected the same areas the MAP test showed my child needed to work on. So, I felt like the Tutoring Center's test was an independent evaluation. They allowed me to keep it and did not constantly call to pressure me into joining. This was really worth it and I am extremely satisifed. more

We are very pleased to have our son learning math and phonics at The Tutoring Center. He was assessed and placed in a personalized program that is building on his strengths and filling in the gaps in his academics. It has been less than 3 months since our son was enrolled, and we can see a tremendous improvement already! We are truly satisfied with all of their efforts. more

First off, the teaching material is made so that what you're working on in the center correlates to the what you're working on in class. The teaching material uses what the kids know and builds off of that. For example, when someone just learned how to find the area of a triangle and a square, the material at the center will then ask how to find the total surface area of a triangular prism. When the kids do not have a strong sense of what to do, well, let's just say the tutors will know. First, they don't just blindly follow the teaching material like many others do. What's great about the tutors is their occupation, or at least background, is in the same subject as the subjects that they tutor in. For example, there is a tutor who majors in mathematics and is tutoring in math. So the tutors really know what they're doing! Next, the tutors really connect with the kids, which not only makes it easier for the kids to learn but it also makes learning more fun! In essence: - Teaching material builds off of what the kids have learned in class. - Tutors are more than familiar with the subjects that they are teaching in. - Tutors are fully capable - able to make a casual environment for the kids = more fun and easy to learn. more
