The Transformation Studio

Don't normally write reviews, cos don't have time, but I just needed to say a few words about Transformation Studios and the wonderful job Sarah and staff did with my daughters 9th birthday party. The idea was a spa day. I was just thinking facial, or mani pedi but Sarah came up with a wonderful, absolutely affordable girl's spa extravaganza birthday party!! We had about 12 girls. She gave them all mini facials and massages. She then proceeded to let them make their own custom blend lip glosses, which they got to keep. She taught them a dance in her dance studio and then to top it all of, they all got to make their own custom chocolates on granite slabs like true chocolatiers which they of course got to take home with them. The girls, and I had a blast. My daughter loved it and the girls are still talking about it two weeks later!! Thank you Sarah and Transformation Studio for making this an awesome birthday to remember!! more

I used The Transformation Studio for my wedding hair and makeup -- and they did a fantastic job!! Sarah and Tomee are the best and I even got a custom lipstick made to go with my Indian wedding lehenga. Pricing is reasonable and they offer makeup classes too! Definitely planning to check those out too!! more

I am SOOO glad I went to the Transformation Studio for my Halloween makeup. Sarah was AMAZING!!!! She is cheerful, fun and knows her stuff! I was in and out of the studio in about an hr and she did exactly what I asked. I had so many complements on my costume for Halloween, several people stopped and asked to take photos with me because the costume was that amazing. I could not have asked for a better makeup job. We also won 3rd place out of 100's of entries for the costume contest. Thanks Sarah for your wonderful talents. I will definitely come back. more

The BEST in town!!! :) I absolutely loved Sarah and the services she provided! :) Tha hairr and make up..everything was just awesome! I went to go get party make up done, and she really went all out to make me look FABULOUS! :) I Showed her a picture and I got exaxctly what I wanted. Sarah and her staff are so sweet, and make you feel so comfortable! :) I priced around a couple of places in Houston, and Sarah was the most reasonable, and didnt charge me for every little thing she did. I would highly reccomend Sarah and The Transformation Studio for anyone who wants to look Fabulous!!! more

I recently took the chocolate making class at The Transformation Studio. It started out very, very basic (i.e., dipping strawberries and premade cake balls in melted chocolate) but proceeded to creating personalized chocolate candy on a granite slab, and using transfer sheets, which was fun. Throughout the class, Sarah gave good information about working with different kinds of chocolate and even hinted that an advanced class may possibly be coming in the future. I would say this class is a great choice for someone at the beginner level - my daughter would have loved it - and be sure to get on the email list (or FB, or whatever people do these days) if you are interested in a more advanced class in the future. more

Tried out this place to see if I could create a custom designed cologne/fragrance that worked well for me. They had virtually every scent you could imagine, and the expertise on how to combine them to get the style I was looking for. I left with a bottle of cologne that was perfect for my daily use. Customer service was excellent - they gave me as long as I needed to explain everything and didn't rush me. Ambiance was also good, not too girly, a very relaxed and pleasant environment/decor. more

I'm giving the Transformations studio 5 stars ! It is a great getaway for any woman who wants to pamper herself. Ms.Sarah Ali is an expert and professional in every meaning of those words. As a makeup artist I use her line of makeup called, ""Chamak"" . Her products are wonderful and great to work with. I personally love her blushes, concealers and eyeshadows. I recommend this studio to anyone ! more

I didn't recognize myself after but received every compliment possible. However, the mother of the bride sure stole the show!! You see, she has Parkinson's And Transformations was able to not only make her beautiful but they truly boosted her self confidence like nobody's business. What they did for our mother daughter team will sure to last way beyond after the makeup was washed off..... We have a ton of pictures to remind my mom just how beautiful she really is.....her steps are stronger and lighter.....not slow, hard and shuffled like it was upon her arrival. Thank you for giving us our mother back! Even my dad was smiling so big he even treated himself to a glass of red wine. Thank you Transformations! more

I was coming from Chicago to Texas to have my wedding reception. I had no clue what the make-up artist world looked like in Texas. A family member suggested The Transformation Studio. I went in a few months before my wedding to get a trial! BOY WAS I IMPRESSED! I was inches away from asking her to come do my wedding in Chicago if i hadn't already put my down payment. I had a room full of aunts and cousins who all had their opinions. Sara made a point to listen to only what i said and always had an encouraging and supportive hand near. The quality of make-up is great and her technique was amazing. I mentioned on more then one occasion ""you tight-lined my eyes!"" i have never worked with a make-up artist that did that for me. On the day of the wedding, she was a great pleasure to have around. Always laughing and easy going. A great change from the rest of the stressed and freaking out family members. The Transformation Studio is a place for a full packaged experience. It's not just a place to get your hair or make-up done. But a place to revitalize your whole self. more

I had already signed a contract and paid a deposit to get my bridal makeup done from another well known make up artist company called ""the perfect face"". After meeting Sarah and seeing her portfolio of brides, I immediately cancelled my contract and had to forfeit my deposit in order to use Transformation Studio. I'm so glad that I did, Sarah is a talented make up artist and she really understands what kind of a look her clients want. She did my make up for all my wedding events and each time it turned out beautifully!!! more

I was married on Dec 30th and had booked Sarah for my wedding makeup. Let's just say, she definitely brought that ""WOW"" Factor! I have never seen my face look the way it did. The best memory of my wedding was right before I walked into my main entrance, the doors opened, and the entire room stood up for me, and all I heard was a, ""wwwwooooooowwww"" echo through room. Everyone came up to me and asked where I had gotten my makeup done from. She really focused very hard to bring the exact look I wanted. She actually went above and beyond for me. I was very impressed and very pleased. It's been 2 months since my wedding, and people are still talking about the Fab job my makeup- artist did! Sarah was thorough, she was very professional & she listened to exactly what I wanted. The best thing I liked about her service is she works amazing under pressure.I had all my friends and family in the room while she applying my makeup- everyone had their own opinion, but not once did Sarah flinch or sigh. She continued her work without any hesitation. Her main focus was the Bride and she did a DANG good job. I would get married all over again (to the same guy, lol!) just so I can have her do my wedding makeup again!! more

Very disappointed. It's taken over a year for me to write this review, but I've finally gotten around to it. I would recommend extreme caution to book Sarah for hair and makeup. I booked her services for makeup and hair for my bridal and engagement pictures (both shot on the same day). It also served as a trial run for me for my actual wedding day. Brides-if there's ever a doubt, do a trial-well worth it! She had originally told me that and I quote ""I'm not the best with hair, and I have a girl who will do that for you, but I will be doing your makeup"". I gave Sarah pictures of how I wanted my hair and makeup to look like ahead of time, so she could give it to the lady who was supposed to be working on my hair. When the day came we there was no other hair lady-Sarah forgot to book her. Sarah immediately said she could take over those services (which I was skeptical of based on her previous self deprecating remarks but having little choice I decided to go with it). I should have ran. Sarah also lost the pictures I had given her days before so I had to verbalize how I wanted everything to look. She took about 4 hours trying to execute a simple updo-and failed miserably. She applied a ton of hair products, slides etc and in the end one side of my hair kept falling. She finally told me that I would need a hair piece bc I didn't have enough hair on the right side of my head?? I ended up going with Beautiful Face for my hair and makeup for the wedding day (absolutely fantastic btw), they confirmed to me what Sarah had done with my hair was total crap, and that I definitely had more than enough hair to pull off an updo (I have thick hair past my shoulders). What a pathetic avoidance, I was so disappointed that she couldn't own up to me about the hair. She rushed through my makeup for the last 10 min, and it was ok-in fact I'm sure if she had spent more time on it, it might have turned out great. But I was already very late and annoyed. She had implied to me earlier before the appointment that she had airbrushing services but at this time she said she didn't use airbrushing bc it caused cancer (wth??). The makeup she did for the photoshoot was very heavy in person and my lips were not glossy-she instead used a powder based lip liner that ended up looking rather cakey in person which I had to remove and redo in the middle of the photo shoot bc it had dried and turned flakey. It turned out ok in the pictures. Also, I had to end up having my photographer postpone the photoshoot several hours that day bc my hair and makeup had ran so late (almost 2 hours over!), and in the middle of it my hair fell out completely so I had to redo it myself-with a half down half up do which I could have done at home. For close to 200 bucks for a trial run of hair and makeup it was the most cheated I had felt in a long time. Sarah be honest with your clients next time, and don't take on more than you know you're qualified to handle! more

I am a client of Sarah's from even before she opened her Studio. Sarah did my hair and makeup on the day of my wedding. She also did it for the other girls in my family. Everyone absolutely loved it and I got so many complements on it! Even now, three years later, people message me and ask where I got it done from. Sarah has such a vibrant personality. She loves what she does and it really shows in the end result of her work. I have taken several fitness classes with her as well at the Transformation Studio. After taking the first one my friends and I were hooked. We went back for belly dancing, zumba and her world dance class. They are so fun and at the same time a great workout. The Transformation Studio offers so many services. One stop for all your beauty needs! more

I went to her makeup artistry classes during the spring this year, I had so much fun there. She's very knowledgible in her crafts and her teaching is also about excepting yourself and made us all realized that we are BEAUTIFUL. more

Sarah has really good makeup for all skin tones... but i also <3 the fact that her makeup does compliment dark toned complexions & its also at a reasonable price. I also attended her Makeup Academy i feel its a great starter class if you have never been in the makeup field... she's very knowledgeable about makeup & also very helpful. The only thing that i would honestly say about the Academy on a negative stand point is that her class could have been more organized & on track. Other than that Sarah is really sweet & her makeup line & products are a very good product. more

Sarah Ali & The Transformation studio were an essential part of my wedding earlier this year. We had the Sanchak Mehndi at the studio. She and her folks did a spectacular job decorating the hall as I wanted it done. Sarah also did all the photography & makeup/prep for the Sanchak, wedding and Valima. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does and she excels at it accordingly. I am very fortunate that I found out about Sarah & the studio because she is a one-stop shop for so many things you need for a wedding. I wish her much success in the future. more

I had my facial done about two weeks ago in the transformation studio. The place was tidy and clean. Laura, a sweet young girl, did my facial. Her work was excellent and she is polite and down to earth. Her facial made my skin fresh and I got helpful tips about skin care.I strongly recommend everyone to visit this place for their make up and beauty needs. more
