small hotel with zen atmosphere 5/18/2009

a beautiful transformation - the tradewinds has a very relaxed, tucked-away feeling. several blocks up a slight hill from the downtown area of carmel, you feel removed but are just a short walk from the restaurants and shops. Pros: beautiful rooms, dog friendly Cons: uneven service, difficult breakfast more

My boyfriend and I went there for our spring vacation and absolutely adored the place! Since it was off season, we even got upgraded. The place is newly renovated and the staff is so gracious. The Inn is so beautiful and relaxing. Before booking at the place, we checked others out but no place compared. I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone who's going to Carmel. Pros: gracious staff, newly renovated, beautiful atmosphere more
