Best

I have been eating at the Teepee for almost 30 years and it still has the same feel as it did the first time I ate there. This place has a very historic feel and glad to see there...

Awesome place!!! 7/18/2008

I have been eating at the Teepee for almost 30 years and it still has the same feel as it did the first time I ate there. This place has a very historic feel and glad to see there are places like this that still hang on to the past. It has that old school resort kind of feel. The food is nothing fancy but is always good and just as expected, never any surprises. The staff is super friendly and attentive mostly family and if not have been employed there so long that they should be. This place is an Arcadia land mark that I hope is around for along long time. Pros: Good old school feel and an excellent place to take out of towners or family Cons: zip more

best Mexican food anywhere 10/5/2006

Best Mexican food anywhere. Especially recommend the chimichanga--a little unhealthy, but a delicious treat! more

A Beloved PHX Institution 3/7/2006

You have to love a place that serves you unlimited chips and salsa while you wait for your table. The menu is nothing special but the food is. Each dish is made fresh to order. A current president had the enchiladas when he visited here and that dish has now been deemed the ""Presidential Special"". The atmosphere at the TeePee is unlike anything in PHX, you'll see anything from people in pajamas to striped suits. If the inevitable wait is not to your liking, get your food to go as the TeePee is an excellent take out place. Pros: enchiladas, free chips and salsa, fun atmosphere more

Excellent 7/27/2005

This is the best Mexican food in the city. Casual, friendly atmosphere. Fast service and friendly staff. This relatively unadvertised establishment is a must. Pros: food, service, atmosphere Cons: informal, small tables (4max) more

Delicious 7/12/2005

We were so happy to locate this great local find! It was the best mexican food. Not a fancy place, very casual. Big red booths, but I personally liked that ambience. Matter of opinion, but can't argue about the food. Pros: food was excellent, Inexpensive, comfortable Cons: out of the way more

Still great 10/12/2004

This place has been around for a long time and the ice cold beer, margaritas and terrific food welcome you back again and again! Pros: Ice cold beer, great food, parking more

Best Mexican Food in Arizona 8/25/2003

I've eaten at the Tee Pee for many, many years. The atmosphere is very casual & cozy, but it's the great food & excellent service that set this place apart from all the rest. You don't need to ""dress up"" for the Tee Pee. It feels like home and is a favorite for everyone I know who has eaten there. The menu is not extensive, but EVERYTHING tastes great & is always served in a flash & piping hot. Free chips & salsa, ice cold beer and terrific margaritas too. If you want a new casual ""joint"" with great food to call your own, this is it. Clearly the best mexican food in Arizona. Pros: Cauual atmosphere, great food & drinks, very fast servive & always hot food Cons: Wait for tables in dining room more

The Tee Pee is nothing fancy. Like others in Phoenix it has often been referred to as a mom & pop restaurant. We serve our meals with paper napkins while you relax in one of our original booths. Some of our customers have been eating here for four generations and we wouldn_t have it any other way!
