Don't go. Insultingly overpriced. Most steaks $50.00. ($89.oo for 8 0z lobster + 8 oz steak). Could not believe how ordinary the food was considering what they were charging. Food is ok, not great, would not go back just for the food let's put it that way. Atmosphere is very 1980's, dark wood paneling Seems outdated. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, go downtown to the Chophouse or Shanahans, what this place wants to be, but not even close. 3 star food with 5 star prices. more

Highest Quality Cuts of Steak 9/11/2011

This is a local fixture for a good reason - the steaks are of the highest quality. This is an old-school, dinosaur of a steakhouse - bearnaise sauce, dark wood paneling, and high prices. I have enjoyed eating here. I also purchased steaks here to cook at home for a big celebration - in Colorado we really should serve the best, and the Summit came across. In a word - Reliable. more

Offensively overpriced 7/16/2011

We purchased 2 groupon discounts for this restaurant and were excited to visit. Both visits were more than disappointing, we found ourselves a bit miffed. First off, we purchased $40 worth of dining for half price. We drank water and ordered VERY modestly and still went well over the first voucher because of the high prices (just two people). To make things worse, the food was average at best. We changed our approach on visit two, forget how much more we spend, get what we really want. We did that (still water though) and spent more than double the voucher. As was before, the food was not very good. It would be one thing to spend hard earned money on sub-par food but to sell it at fine dining pricing is outrageous. I think the raving reviews are for a day long gone. I say that not just due to the age of other reviews but because the establishment looks a bit past it's prime. Each time we came for dinner they asked if we had a reservation; in neither case was there but a person or two in the whole place. I think the following they once knew is gone and it's just us idiots. I seriously cannot think of a reason or circumstance where you should give ts place a try, coupon or not. more

Wonderful Staff, Delicious Food! 6/20/2011

This place is fabulous! The steak is just as good as you would expect, if not better! The service we had was impeccable, very friendly. Our drinks were always refilled, dinner brought in a timely manner. We will definitely be back! more

Will never go back 5/13/2009

We had bought a gift certificate thinking the place looked good on its website. Once there, we were sadly dissapointed. The steaks were overpriced ($38-45), which doesn't even include a salad or side! The steak was fair at it best. The wait staff were unfriendly. Terrible! If you want to spend this kind of money on a steak go to The Chop House, Sullivan's, The Keg, or any of the other dozen or so steak houses downtown and you will not be dissapointed! I wouldn't go back unless I had a rich grandmother in town who wanted to fit in with the over 70 crowd at this place. Pros: Bartender Cons: Overpriced, bad service more

The Summit 3/30/2009

$8.75 for a scotch on the rocks (not premium), and a half drink at that. Both Rodney's and Elway's charge $7-$8 for the same drink but its a full drink and the crowd is better. Cons: Overpriced bar more

We've never been disappointed. 4/14/2008

The Summit is just as good as Del Frisco or Ruths Chris but without the attitude. We recently celebrated a birthday there and eveyone had a wonderful meal. Our waitress Patricia was the very best! She was very attentive and offered great suggestions. Her timing was excellent. Our steaks were prepared perfectly as were the sides. We'll be back. Pros: Ask to be seated in Patricia's section - she's the best!!! Cons: No attitude... oh wait - that's a good thing. more

Completely disapointed with food and service. We will never return! 5/5/2007

In the 1980's the Aurora Summit was one of the best places for steaks. Not any more! Pros: Parking was very easy. We were seated promptly. Restrooms were clean. Cons: Food is poor quality. Prices too high. Tables too close together. more

Not worth the price...way overrated. 11/16/2006

This restaurant is totally overrated! The seating was prompt, but everything else was way below average. Way over priced. For $35.00 you get a small average tasting steak that included soup or salad. Atmosphere was not romantic--no booths, just tables and chairs sitting on an average looking carpet. Doesn't feel romantic with a t.v. playing sports in the other room. We were server appetizers before our order was taken and sat there for 15 minutes before our menus were taken and order taken. I've had better steak from our butcher for a lot less money. Very lame. Were told this is a ""fine dining"" establishment when we called, but there were several people there in jeans. If you go in a dress, you're overdressed. Very disappointing for a meal over $100 for steak, soup or salad, appetizers, and 2 drinks. Not worth it! more

Ask for Matt! 12/11/2004

I love this restaurant. Come in on Mondays for the chateaubriand special- dinner for two and a bottle of wine at a very reasonable price. The service is great- especially Mat the server. He will make your visit wonderful. He is the best fine dining server there. Pros: service, Good Parking, Great Steak more

Aurora Summit Restaurant 9/27/2004

I make sure I dine at this upscale restaurant everytime I'm in town. I love the shrimp cocktail, and the filet mignon is excellent. I enjoy listening to the band The Glass Menagerie while I'm there. It's a great place to spend a romantic evening. Pros: excellent food, romantic ambience, good live band more

BEST STEAK IN THE US 8/8/2002

This is really the best resturant I have been to for Filet Mignon. It is the best steak I've ever had. I always make a point of going there at least once in a week of vacation or twice if I'm there longer. Ask for the waitress named Pat or Patty, blond with glasses, because she's the best. She makes you feel special. Ambience is good. Kids are welcome, but more adults go there. It's romantic, a great place to eat, with the best steak. Pros: Price Comparible, Best Steak (filet), Waitress Pat (Patty) Cons: A little chilly more
