Not impressed. 5/26/2010

Just called to get an estimate for sanding & restaining a small wood coffee table. The guy on the phone was very condescending and acted like he really didn't want my business. I was told a standard size coffee table is 6 feet in length? I've owned a few coffee tables in my life but don't think I've ever owned a 6 footer. Maybe he thought I said surfboard. I was quoted $300 for the job which is very high for my 48" x 18" STANDARD table. You could almost buy a new coffee table from Crate & Barrel for $300. Don't think they'll be getting my business. Too BAD, so SAD. Suggest you guys have someone more friendly answering phones. more

Favorite Place 10/22/2008

Mike at The Strip Joint is wonderful. They do great work and for a fraction of the cost from a similar place in LA. If its a door or something you need quickly they are very accommodating. Having furniture stripped really helps in speeding up the home renovation process. more

Great place for furniture refinishing 4/21/2006

We've taken several pieces of furniture to the strip joint to be refinished including our dining room chairs and a coffee table. Each time, they've done excellent work. It's a busy place so you may find that you have to wait a few weeks to get a job done, but it's worth the wait. PROS: High quality work CONS: more

GREAT furniture refinishing 9/25/2005

This place is fantastic if you want to make a piece of old furniture look new again. They parking is terrible, but the work they do is incredible, and the prices are very fair. I have referred many to them, and the results have all been good. There was an article in the Daily Breeze on this company in 8/05, and the article was very favorable. more
