This place is DA BOMB. Down to earth atmosphere and I've spotted an occasional celeb in here as well. The food is what makes this place great. Servings are generous with ample portions. When I lived closer, I was eating here almost every day. Moved inland a bit so can only get there twice a week which is a bummer cause I would love to eat here more often. I recommend you order one of the organic beers with the frozen ice cold glass mug. 2 or 3 of them will put you exactly where you want to be :?) more

their tofu sauce on their burrito is amazing. seriously. one of the best burritos I've ever had! Although, the handful of times I've been there, it's taken a very long time; the metered/street parking can be frustrating; cash only =( Pros: quiet, outdoor seating is nice Cons: cash only, limited parking, sometimes very slow service more

FANTASTIC for someone new to vegetarian/vegan lifestyle 7/28/2009

I just had a great experience at this restaurant. There are vegan options to most of the menu and the lineup of organic beers is solid. The best part of my experience was the service, though, as I couldn't find the bottom of my iced tea glass no matter how hard I tried. Friendly staff, delicious food. If you do eat here you'll probably see me there because I'm definitely going back. Pros: Moderate prices, great atmosphere, very attentive details more

I've been going to The Spot since 1988. It was one of the first vegetarian restaurants and I love it. I love the atmosphere of the area--Hermosa Beach. It is a very small, quaint, restaurant, no frills. I've been a regular for years and love the homely, special service I receive. I have a dog so I love to eat outside. I love their dishes, especially tofu, prices, service, mgt., and cookbook. I highly recommend it! Pros: wonderful natural food, tasty dishes, original Cons: limited metered parking, cash only more

Very small (or cozy) 5/24/2006

The place mostly sells mexican food, and was sort of a let down. I ordered a tofu burrito & was expecting bold flavors, but it was far from it. It's a very homey type of restaurant, small & cozy. It's a nice place to catch up with a friend because the food took forever. Pros: huge portions, affordable, nearby beach Cons: parking on weekends, food not flavorful more

Cute patio, great veggie menu 1/24/2003

There aren't many vegetarian / vegan restaurants in the South Bay. This one has a decent menu with several 'types' of food and, while it's obviously geared toward 'veggie-types,' it's not over-the-top hippie. The patio is quaint & serene and the staff are very friendly. Pros: Veggie friendly Cons: Small-ish menu more
