Quaint, homey atmosphere. People seemed to know each other - obviously a locals restaurant of preference which is always a good sign. Friendly service, clean bathrooms, and reasonable prices for fresh, non prepackaged food. Vegetables were excellent (southern style), and many items changes on a daily basis. Truly worth a visit!! Pros: Breakfast all day, fresh vegetables, excellent cornbread! Cons: Bad Location, shopping center is vitrually empty. more

Excellent Breakfast & Lunch 11/30/2008

wow! was looking for a classic breakfast place and was introduced by a friend in roswell to the southern skillet in chamblee (apparently this is where the original location is) and have to say that these places are a rare breed. Excellent fresh breakfast options, husband had chicken fried chicken with green beans and squash casserole. I had to take a sample and both breakfast and lunch items were excellent! Will definitely be back! Cons: None so far.... more

Best classic breakfast 3/8/2008

Did not know this was the second location from the one that has been around for ages in Roswell...still, the best southern breakfast around. Biscuits are best the earlier you come. Dont recommend them after noon. One thing i did notice, however, were that the prices have increased...but so has everything else food related in the grocery store - well, their prices are still lower than flying biscuit or original house of pancakes. Pros: biscuits, grits, eggs - try the country fried steak & eggs breakfast! Cons: Need to get there early for fresh breads....dont go there when after church crowds visit - unless you want to wait 45 min for your food. more

Excellent Breakfast! Just recently had dinner and was equally impressed. I was told the tomatoes are straight from the farmer's market in s. Atlanta, all vegetables were fresh as could be....cornbread, wow!! Pros: Quaint decorations. Reminded me of days past. Cons: No Booths. more
