Things Change 12/22/2009

Stopped at The Shack for a biz meeting and was pleasantly surprised. Apparently the owner's son mentioned in a previous post is gone as is that owner. Shack has been taken back by the original owners and has returned to solid quality food, excellent service and realistic prices. Had fish & chips on the deck with my colleague and the food was very good, though the coleslaw seemed a bit runny. This experience was quite a bit different from a previous biz meeting I had there just a few months back (which was terrible) and I will no longer be afraid of recommending the place or bring other biz colleagues there. more

If you don't know the staff, stay away 7/5/2009

Food was too salty. My party of 6, which spent roughly $200 of food and drink was subject to foul language by a friend of an employee who did not have her child under control. Then, the owners son told us to leave. Apparently this resturant is for friends of the owners and workers only, not paying customers. more

Great seafood and view 11/19/2005

I have been to the Shack a bunch of times, the food is great, service is prompt and the view is relaxing!!! Nothing better then sitting down to lunch or dinner with a drink in your hand and watching the boats go by and dolphins play in the water...if that doesn't get you in a good mood, who knows what will!!! I have NEVER been disappointed at the Shack. I have tried the special and just about everything on the menu at one time or another and it is all good. Since I like a deal, I really like the birthday dinner special they have. If you have a party of 4 or more the birthday person gets a special menu to choose a meal off of and it is free and they usually give you a piece of cake or some ice cream with a candle in it for your annual embarassment!!! more
