The Scottish Home of the Illinois Saint Andrew Society is a non-profit organization providing services to older adults since 1910. Tucked away in the woods of North Riverside, The Scottish Home is a small, private community licensed for 85 residents, offering a wide range of services and programs to enrich the lives of our residents. Whether it is the freedom from every day chores that community living allows or you are in need of a respite stay, the Scottish Home welcomes you.
The Scottish Home has two levels of living to meet your individual needs: assisted living and nursing care. All our rooms have emergency call lights, individual temperature controls, and cable TV. Personal laundry, linen services, daily housekeeping and all meals are included.
Our assisted living is two floors of private rooms: the Highland and The Great Glen. The Highlands is available for residents who are independent and able to tend to their own personal care. The Great Glen is available for residents who need more assistance and require routine monitoring by nursing staff and assistance with medication and bathing.
Our nursing care units consist of private and semi-private rooms. These units are available to residents who require close observation and care in all areas of daily living activities. The McMillan Wing is devoted to residents with end-stage Alzheimer?s disease and dementia.
The Scottish Home also has a cozy living room with a library, a great room with a large screen TV for Wii bowling, three dining rooms, beautiful gardens, and a large patio and walking paths. We also have a guest room for visitors and a private dining room where residents can entertain guests.
