Excellent selection of clothing 12/19/2009

I really like this thrift store--the ladies and boys clothes selections are great--I've purchased great-looking pantsuits and gym clothes for myself and winter jackets and tops for my boy. Also, the t-shirt selection is quite good and, often, t-shirts are just $1. There's a huge selection of clothing at the store and I like the fact that they have summer clothing on the racks year-round. (So, last December, I was able to buy tropical, short-sleeved shirts for my winter trip to Florida.) The price tags are in different colors--pink, green, white, ... and every day, one color is half off--I've gotten some great deals via the tag sales. Some items are a bit pricey; for instance, wedding gowns run $200 and higher; however, wedding shoes (and there's a large selection of barely worn white heels) are reasonably priced. Pros: great clothes, great sales, huge selection Cons: can be a little pricey more

Editorial
  • In Short
The Salvation Army is an evangelical Christian organization that devotes billions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours each year to disaster relief, social services and other charitable causes worldwide. With proceeds going directly to adult rehabilitation centers, the Army's many thrift stores play an important role in furthering the organization's mission. Patrons of the stores pick through a diverse selection of moderately worn clothing, as well as second-hand furniture, electronics, books and toys at bargain prices.
