This resort was closed for a while, and was renovated to the tune of $70MM. I've never seen it before, but the investment really shows. The place is all glitzed up and the big investments are everywhere. Everything sparkles, mirrors, shines and full of color, and there are bold statements in design from wall papers to light fixtures. There is a huge center court with pool, and they set up sitting areas with fire pits which is really a great place to sit at night. We were actually invited by our neighbor in LA to a Christmas party and weekend, so we ended up eating at the hotel most meals. food was great, servers were really lovely, but it was clear that some kinks are being worked out. we had a suite and it was very large, with flat screen tvs a fireplace and nice pool views. Friday night was fairly quiet, but Saturday night was hopping, and the bar in the front by the lobby was packed (we had a party in what what they cal the 'side bar' by the pool). We just returned from there, and I think this has now become a 'must' on the consideration set for a weekend in Palm Springs.
Pros: No expense spared in updating this hotel, staff super sweet
Cons: Its new, with obviously some kinks
