THE GOOD DAYS ARE GONE 4/4/2010

This used to be a great place with the best beef ribs in Georgia. The pork was really good too. But the beef ribs were like steaks wrapped around a bone. However, it was always kind of over-priced.\r \r Typically in a restaurant ribs are cooked the day before and then reheated. If this is done right you can't even tell. Thats how it used to be at rib ranch. Now the ribs are usually greasy and just warm. The ribs here are by no means cheap either.\r \r I think what has happened is that the owner is never around anymore and doesn't know or care what is going on.\r \r I guess the manager that runs it now doesn't care either, or doesn't know what he is doing.\r \r Its a real shame. Do your self a favor go somewhere else! Pros: LOCATION Cons: EXPENSIVE FOOD TASTES LIKE COLD LEFTOVERS more

Best Ribs I Have Found So Far 8/27/2009

In my search to find great ribs I have tried several places including, Chili's, Dave Poe's, Williamson Bros and Sonny's. So far, the pork ribs at The Rib Ranch have been the best. They are very tender and moist and the sauce is good too. Service was nice and fast and the helpings are HUGE!!! You can tell how good a place is by the people that eat there. Lots of people knew each other and there was a table of firefighters. The place has some wacky decor, like something you would see on one of those shows that used to be on Turner South. Its almost like a museum with awesome food. Pros: Great Ribs, Quarky Atmosphere, Giant Portions, Kid Friendly Cons: Can Get Crowded more

AWESOME FOOD AND PEOPLE!!!! 1/30/2009

Rib Ranch has the best BBQ in town!!!! Whether you want pulled pork or ribs or even a great brownie, they are the place to go. And what is even better is they now serve BREAKFAST!!!! You can get a traditional country breakfast like sausage gravy and biscuits or something more tex-mex like a western omelette. They also have light items for those dieters. And another great thing about Rib Ranch is they do catering so I can just order food for my party and they will deliver it. All the staff up there are so kind and really pay attention to the customer's needs. Check them out, you love it!!!! Pros: Customer Service more

rib ranch 8/2/2007

I would not think of going to Atlanta without stopping at the Rib Ranch. Not only was it a perfect setting to eat barbaque but the service was great and the food outstanding. We are from Kansas city the home of good barbaque and I would stack rib ranch against our best joints. Anyone who says they had to wait to long should come to Kansas City and wait 1 hour to be seated for a lesser meal. The special cheese potatoes were a real treat and perfect with the tender beef ribs. The little old lady making desserts is priceless, we had to take ours with us because we were so full. Atlanta is very fortunate to have a restaurant like this, I hope they take advantage of it. Rib ranch! bring that rub and sauce to Kansas City. Pros: quality meats, great sauce and good service more

Fabu home-cooking ribs!!! 8/28/2006

Howdy y'all... The pork and beef ribs are excellent and well-priced. The meat just falls right off the bone and savory to the appetite. Extra bbq sauces are on the table... but I haven't needed them. My favorite side has always been the brunswick stew, full of well-blended taste. The atmosphere is charming with down-right southern ""homey"" service, ask for Karen with her big smiles. The restaurant visits warranted me to try their catering business and I found that experience to be very accommodating and affordable. My guests raved about the meal and suggested that a visit to OTP would not be so bad, knowing that they will find such delights. Overall, Take a Step OTP!!! Pros: Welcoming service followed by scrumptuous ribs and sides. Cons: Weekly customer if there's one ITP. more

my son and 2grandson's & myself went into rib ranch for lunch. was seated and sit there for 20min. before the waitress ever came by for the drink order. then we ordered and after 50 min we still had not got our food. i was on my lunch hr. and guess what we had to leave with out eating. the manager never offered to box up the food that came out as we were walking out. just sd he was sorry! it does not take that long to perpare the food there was othere people came in after we did eat and left. Pros: will not go back @ lunch Cons: service was not acceptable more

Only Eat the Meat 3/3/2005

On both of my visits here, the meats have been very good, especially the chopped pork and beef ( though both times they have been served luke warm). The sides here leave something to be desired, especially if you were looking for a vegetable. The corn on the cob is probably the worst I have ever seen. Stick to double starch for your side choices. Pros: Good Parking, Great Barbeque, Chidlren Friendly Cons: Side Items more

The Rib Ranch is the BEST! The beef ribs are tender juicy and would make fred flintstone cry! The brunswick stew was outstanding and service was friendly and fun. The place is packed full of fun and intresting things all over walls and shelves. Its just a really fun place to eat.The food portions are huge I dont know how any one leaves hungry. Pros: ribs pork and beef, price, portions more

GREAT brunswick stew 7/6/2003

Delicious BBQ. Great BBQ chicken and the best stew!! Very nice people. Pros: brunswick stew, sweet tea, inexpensive more

Best Bar-B-Que 5/15/2003

The Rib Ranch has the best selection of bar-b-que, sides and brunswick stew in the Atlanta area. There may be other places that have a tastier bbq, but they can't compare on the sides. So for the total experience, visit The Rib Ranch on Canton Hwy in Marietta, GA. Pros: inexpensive, great brunswick stew, good service Cons: rings are greasy more

Best Beef Ribs around! 4/12/2003

I've eaten better beef ribs only once before (at a place that's no longer in business). Last visit had 2 large beef ribs -- nearly the size of my forearm! They were tender, juicy, and cooked with just the right amount of spices and sauce...enough to flavor the ribs without masking their flavor. We also had some baby backs that were above average and the beans and corn were both above average for a side dish. Will keep this on my list of favorites...especially for the beef ribs! Pros: Best Beef Ribs! Cons: pork was OK more

Great Food! 3/26/2003

WOW! What great food! We've gone to the Rib Ranch several times now and have yet to be served anything that didn't taste great! The Beef Ribs are HUGE! Homemade Onion Rings and their special recipe Potatoes are awesome. Great value too, we never leave hungry and usually come home with a ""doggy bag"". We will definitely be back! Pros: Food taste, Food value, Service more

My Personal Favorite 3/18/2003

The Rib Ranch is my favorite BBQ restaurant in Atlanta, and a place I like to share with out of town guests. The ribs are ""melt in your mouth"" good, the BBQ sandwiches are so yummy. They offer a variety of fresh side items, but the brunswick stew is my favorite. When you go to The Rib Ranch be sure to wear those jeans that are just a little loose in waist as the portions are generous. Pros: Good Service, Clean, Reasonably priced more

Best Barbecue Ever!! 3/10/2003

My family and I recently visited the The Rib Ranch for a special family dinner. Not only was the food incredible but the service was out of this world, the whole experience was the best we had experienced in quite some time. I definitely give The Rib Ranch an A+++++. more

Good Bar-b-que 3/9/2003

The Rib Ranch is definitely a destination location. The food is excellent and the decor is fun. The entire visit was entertaining. The Rib Ranch gives a definite Texas twist in a field of bar-b-que that is mostly influenced by the North Carolina style here in Atlanta. Pros: Reasonable, Great Taste more

IntheLoop 3/7/2003

We have been customers of the Rib Ranch for over 19 years. The food is first quality and is so above all the local BBQ joints! Never a disappointment, they have caterered all our family events from graduations to new babies to work functions to funerals. They have saved us a ton of work for feeding large groups and everyone is happy with the great food. We just order and stop in and pick it up. Works out great! No one in Atlanta can touch them. In a changing world, we love the tradition of the Rib Ranch. They are consistent, friendly and we adore their BBQ, the beef is the best. Also, their desserts are beyond fabulous. Award winning, I think. That chocolate cheesecake is the best ever. Check it out and see what it's all about. You will not be sorry.... Pros: quality, price, parking more
