Service was good, food was horrible 2/25/2008

Driving out to Livermore for dinner is an adventure in itself. This Vineyard has a beautiful setting, but alas, horrible food. Nearly inedible food. We had the 4 course show-off menu with Desert and Wine. The Wine was OKAY. Its not worth the drive!! Even if you live in the area its not worth the drive, which is a pity because it seems like a very well run place with a great atmosphere, but what's the point if the food is bad? more

Wente employs a creative menu and friendly staff at their excellent restaurant. The house wine is from local grapes and compliments the fresh ingredients from the menu. A lot of the dishes are simple but have an imaginative twist, are presented beautifully, and are very flavorful. Recs.: Pork Chop, Burger, Chardonnay Pros: Food, Wine, Location Cons: Price more
