The Pub is a Gettysburg landmark. Located right on the town square (it's actually #1 Lincoln Square), it occupies a prominent place in the downtown landscape. When it burned down in 2000 the owners rebuilt the building with such painstaking attention to detail that one might never know that the original building (which was over 200 years old) was destroyed. The Pub is a casual, fun place, with excellent pub fare and delicious (and HUGE) burgers. Among the to-die-for appetizers are their stuffed potato skins (try the bacon ones). The bar side of the Pub is as big as the restaurant, and both are accesible by exterior doors. If you don't mind being surrounded by college-types (the Pub is only two blocks from Gettysburg College), then this is the spot for you.
