Pretty Good 4/22/2006

My dinner was pretty good. Started with raisin walnut bread and a delicious fingerling potato salad amuse bouche. Next a standard escargot appetizer and then a phyllo-wrapped pear & Roquefort salad. It would have been better without the odd purplish reduction and a citrus vinaigrette would have made it come together. The cream of parsnip soup was excellent but slightly too peppery for me. The palate cleanser was a cold strawberry soup with a blah taste of frozen sweetened strawberries. My entree was the seafood ravioli with cream sauce and tomatoes, with 3 perfectly seared sea scallops, 2 large shrimp, and 2 strips of fried calamari. The calamari was misplaced - better would have been a small lump of lobster. Overall, though, a great dish and a good value. Finally, I enjoyed the housemade petits fours. This has become our ""must dining"" for every time we visit Vegas, which is about 4 times per year. If you love perfect service, remarkable food, great wine, a knowledgeable sommellier, and fabulous ambience, this is the place for you. The restaurant easily competes with the best restaurants on both coasts. more

This has become our ""must dining"" for every time we visit Vegas, which is about 4 times per year. If you love perfect service, remarkable food, great wine, a knowledgeable sommellier, and fabulous ambience, this is the place for you. The restaurant easily competes with the best restaurants on both coasts. more

One of the best birthday dinner I had was at Andre's. My rack of lamb was excellently tender. I love how we get 'mini intermezzo' between courses. Money well spent. Food taste, ambiance, service...all great. This is not an elegant but tiny room, this is a great romantic classy & spacious dining area. Pros: Food taste, Ambiance, Service more

We ate here for our anniversary and I have no complaints. We were seated promptly, the service was top knotch, and the food was delicious and well portioned. A family with two adolescent boys were dining next to us and they were well mannered and quiet. I would recommend Andre's to anyone. Pros: delicious food, excellent service, very romantic more
