Expect the best 7/9/2003

Have been going to The Precinct for years. Usually go here once a month or more. The food here is impecible and the service is second to none. As all the other Ruby establishments, one can expect to be treated with friendly servers, bartenders etc.. I have to say that Tony Ricci and his staff have got the ambiance and professionalism down to a science. We go to this Ruby rest, because we feel like family here. Simply the best steak I have ever eaten. Service was excellent and the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. Any steak I eat now will be compared to the one from here. Treat yourself to the precinct it's money well spent if you enjoy steak! more

The only reason I can't rank the precinct 1st is that another Jeff Ruby restaurant , Carlo & Jonny , is by far the best restaurant in the city ! The precinct still gets extremely high marks , but can't compare in ambience . Pros: great food, great service Cons: parking more

The Precinct is Cincinnati's finest steakhouse, hands down. I've been enjoying their fare for many years now, and make it a point to visit on birthdays, anniversaries, and other memorable days that demand the highest quality steaks, lobsters, and other top-notch menu items available at the Precinct (or any Jeff Ruby-owned establishment). more

NY Strip and garlic mashed potatoes the best for miles. As a salesman travling the USA one of the best in the country. The only negative tables are close and its difficult to have a conversation. Cons: noise more

You Will Not Find Better Steak 12/30/2002

I was amazed the first time I visited this restaurant. EVERYTHING was perfect. The valet took the car promptly and politely, we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly, the server was at our constant (and willing) disposal, the food was tremendous (do not miss the steaks), and the atmosphere was so incredibly romantic. I cannot say a bad thing about the Precinct. We have been there probably 10 times now and have never had a negative experience. more

Livin' High Life 12/10/2002

Review for South Beach Grill, A Jeff Ruby Steakhouse. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 10. Reason 1 - the cuisine. It was impeccable. Everything was done just right(including my steak). Reason 2 - the atmosphere. It was on the water. The lighting was awesome, and the tables were spaced far enough apart to enjoy some intimacy if desired. Also, on Saturday nights they have brought back dinner and dancing. That is what tips the scale in my opinion. The food is delicious, the atomsphere is wonderful, and the dancing is romantic. It is way on the pricy side. If you do not intend to drop at least $100.00 (without desert and drinks) then this steakhouse is not for you. Pros: Great Food, Spacious, Valet Parking Cons: Expensive, Cold Floor in winter more

Bring your appetite and a lot of money. You are served considerable portions of everything you order, but it is all too expensive for the working class person. Be sure to make reservations also. The bar area was very small, and packed the entire time. Don't expect to get anything at the bar before you eat either. The bar tender only pays attention to the people he knows (and the ones that wave the most money in his face). After we were seated, the waiter was very helpful and kind. Pros: Good food, nice waiters Cons: Expensive, crowded bar area, valet parking more
