Best

Everyone was very welcoming and nice. I loved my massage and facial and I will absolutely be going back! Pros: :) total relaxation

Worst

I got my eyebrows shaped and also got a manicure at the pointe. My eyebrows looked pretty good but the manicure was pretty bad. I could have done better myself. I'll go again to...

must see and go 1/5/2006

I have come to this amny times and I have gone to others this spa has the best atmosphere and staff out of all the spas I have been too. I would say everyone should try just once and see what I am talking about you wont regret it Pros: staff, atmoshpere, treatment more

Talented and professional staff 11/20/2005

It is in a gym with locker rooms and some gym noise, but it's a lovely gyn with many amenities. The staff was wonderful and there were extra touches like the beauty of the pedicure soak tub (really!), the extra thorough job on scrubbing and massaging, and the shower that comes with the body scrub that had severals spigots of water cascading over my body. The staff was very friendly. The receptionist really patient and helpful as I figured out what I wanted. It was a wonderful experience. Use of the gym, pool, steam and sauna comes with packages, plan a long day and enjoy! And I got a truffle at the end of it all, nice touch! :) Pros: Great staff, Extra touches, Gym use Cons: Gymish environment more

Great Spa 10/9/2005

I have been to many spas in the portland area and this by far is the best Ive been to! I recomend it to all my friends! Pros: Lovely setting, Great work Cons: None! more

Best I've Ever Had... 8/6/2005

I loved this place! I have always been so intimidated by spa's, the idea being it is for the special few. How untrue. The staff treated me as though it were all about me, they were friendly, helpful and extreemely talented. Thank you Lisa Jo for the massage, and Susan for my facial. I could not have had a better experience, love the Mimosa's and wine!!! Pros: Reasonably priced, Talented, Friendly Cons: None to be found more

Average is not good enough 6/3/2005

I was not enthused by the overall ambience of the whole place. This is truly a GYM atmosphere. You have to walk around in a robe, bare underneath, in a hallway that is shared by men and women alike. The whole place is quite noisy!! The spa area itself is nice albeit small and a little cramped. I had to eat my lunch off a tray in my lap while getting a pedicure not the best way to relax. You do get the full use of the health club for the day, but I did not want to work out after my spa day. Tight on the Max line so you do not have to drive but plenty of parking if you do choose to. I had some problems finding the place and felt if was not very well marked. Overall I felt that the experience was okay but expensive. Pros: on max line, full use of club, ample parking Cons: snooty staff, very expensive , gym noise more

Wow, I didn't expect this! 3/21/2005

My sister and I put together a day to do something fun for us. We chose this spa based on a recommendation from a friend of hers. We were treated like royalty! Massages with facials and pedicures... we were toast! We had wine, lunch and it seemed over way to soon. I loved the moonstruck truffles at the end! I will be back with my husband. Pros: Staff, Food, Treatments more

Oh to be pampered 3/16/2005

My day at the Spa was made wonderful from the front desk personel to the massage and mani/pedi. What a great gift for anyone... more

Its about the people 3/9/2005

Judy and her staff know the difference in the ""extra"" effort. I feel like we have interviewed, for they have an intuitiveness that makes for a seamless experience once you enter ""The Pointe""; the daily fatige and hassels are cleansed, massaged and washed away. more

spa junkie 3/7/2005

The pointe was the first spa that I had ever gone to. Since my introduction into the fabulous world of pampering I have tried out many different places both in the Portland area and outside of Oregon. While I have had relatively good services at the other places, the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff at The Pointe made me feel at home. I have never been to a place where they remember so much about me and what I enjoy. I would like to thank the staff for my ""addiction"" I have NEVER felt better. Pros: Friendliness, great service, made to feel at home more

WHAT A WONDERFUL SPA! 3/2/2005

I had the best day at the pointe spa! My daughter had given me a gift card and I spent the entire day getting pampered! The staff are so kind and courteous and always make sure that you are taken care of! They even gave me a delicious Moonstruck Chocolate when I was leaving! From beginning to end, this spa went above and beyond my expectations! I reccommend it to all of my friends! Pros: Athletic Club, Professional, Relaxing more

A WASTE OF MONEY 2/7/2005

This place should only stick to offering their gym service. We had a couples massage, which was average. The massage room was next to the womens lockers. It was so noisy; the banging of the lockers, the doors, it felt like youre having the massage in the actual locker room. Their paging system was so loud; you can hear it along with people walking in the hallway. It was horrible. We drove 20 miles to go there, the massage was for $70.00 each, and it is all definitely not worth it. I usually never care to write something like that on the internet if I am not satisfied with a service .. but I took the time to do so because we mentioned this to the staff at the front desk on our way out and they never seem to care. They obviously do not know how to do business. more

Good Spa for a Health Club 2/3/2005

I think for putting a spa in the middle of nowhere inside a healthclub and having it divided by a hallway - it's not bad. The intention of the staff seems there. I had a massage and pedicure. My massage was average. The room was simply appointed - no frills and the therapist was in shorts and a sport type shirt - so not very comforting. But good solid bodywork. I was next to the men's locker room - so it was loud. My pedicure was ok. I mean it was fine - the best part was the kindness of the reception staff. Good - but not worth the journey unless you work out there. Pros: convenient for club, clean Cons: Not well laid out, changing/locker room, very loud more

Good and not so good... 1/2/2005

I had a facial and hot stone massage. The treatments were very good and both people did a nice job. But...the massage rooms are very noisy at this spa! Almost all of them are connected to locker rooms so I could hear hair dryers, locker doors slamming shut, etc. If you get a massage here, request the Lavender room. It's inside the spa area, and I'm told it is much quieter. Also, don't be mistaken that this is a gym first, spa second, so don't expect the full privacy of a spa, and the quietness. I had to walk from room to room in a public hallway in my robe! Pros: Good staff Cons: , Loud massage room more

Vising In-laws 11/27/2004

I had never been to Portland before and needed a massage. I am also pregnant so I was a little nervous. I was very pleased with Victor, and thought the spa was a great value. You also get to use the athletic facilities if you want to work out before your treatment. I would suggest waiting in the spa area it is nice and quiet and my husband and brother in-law enjoyed a complimentary mimosa. Very good quality and value. Pros: value, professional, not crowded more

What a great way to spend a day 10/14/2004

Having never been to a spa before I was nervous and somewhat scared, but I have never been made to feel so comfortable as I did on the day I had a massage at the Pointe. Everyone I walked passed in the hallways said hello and smiled, and it just made me feel welcome and at ease. The massage was fantastic and it was a huge disapointment when my hour was up. I will be going back and recomending all of my friends. Pros: Atmosphere, Staff, Price more

Spa lover 6/12/2004

I just had a fabulous time at the Pointe Day Spa. Victor gives THE BEST sports massage. My facial with Whitney was outstanding, just as great as any I've tried in the Pearl. I have been to many, many spas arounf the world, and this one sits with the best. This spa is an excellent value! I was a little siappointed with the bistro. The food was excellent, buit the atmosphere was lacking. My advice is to have the receptionist provide your meal during your pedicure, how luxurious! Get there early and use their pool and cardio equipment. Pros: great value, sincere staff, quiet setting more

My Sanctuary 8/21/2003

Because The Pointe Day Spa is located in an athletic club to which I received full usage of the day of my appointment, it was a full day of rejuvinating experiences. From an intensive workout to the bliss of a massage with a pedicure in the middle, there is no other place I'd consider my ""home away from home"" like the Pointe Day Spa. The staff is friendly and courteous with smiles and glasses of wine and the service can't be beat. I would recommend this spa to anyone who needs some tender loving care. more

I live in the northwest 8/15/2003

but my husband bought me a gift certificate because the women at his work, Intel, raved about this place. I took MAX...the Hawthorn Farm exit is right after Orenco station and is literally in front of the club. I've been to Aequis, Dosha, Nirvana, Sylvies, Rejuvination, Bellini's, and a handful of other places that are all great too. And, I'd say based on my experience at the Pointe that it is truly a Top-5 spa in Portland. Pros: professional staff, gym access more

The best ever 4/5/2003

I went on a gift certificate from my husband not knowing what to expect. I was thrilled. The massage from Victor was fabulous. The wrap and facial from Portia was devine. The spa pedicure from LeighAnne was pure heaven. Any one who wants to step into pleasure should come to the Pointe. Thank you!! Pros: Good value, Great People, Wonderful Atmosphere Cons: A little noisy more

better than sex! 2/18/2003

ok, i have never been to another spa but it can't get any better than this!!! They treat you like a VIP here and the treatments are well worth the money spent! if you can, have the high pointe package-wow. Pros: service, quality, price more
