The Plumbinator

Our water heater died over night and I started calling plumbing companies @ 8:00 in the morning. The Plumbinators were the only company that called me back and they did it within 5 min. of me leaving a message. I talked to Mickey--owner--he would have his sons right over and right over they came. They took out my old rusty water heater and replaced it w/a new and they were finished by noon. This family was a pleasure to be around with family fun joking to entertain us. These are good christian folks who's #1 goal is to see you get through the problem you called on them for. I was reassured many times to call w/any questions or problem that might happen down the road and that gives a person peace of mind--and I know he meant it. Pros: null Cons: null more

It?s every homeowner?s worst nightmare?the sink backs up, spilling oily gray water all over the floor. Guests are coming over in a day, and nothing gets the clog out?not the plunger, not the 25-foot auger, not even the chemicals that are no good for the pipes (but really, what won?t you try when you are THAT desperate?). Can?t use the sink, can?t use the laundry machine or the dishwasher, and all you can see is a stream of money flowing from your wallet down, down down the drain? Pros: null Cons: null more

I have had the Plumbinator crew do work for me twice now, I am moving to Belton, I can only hope that if I need a plumber in the future, that I can find a crew that is as good as Mickey and his son. Pros: null Cons: null more

Our water heater gave up the ghost a couple of months ago. It was the original one that came with the house, and had not been installed with a drain pan or a drain. more

We used them in November for a water leak in our ceiling beneath from our upstairs bathroom. That repair went wonderfully! He showed up quickly and fixed the problem and set us up with the drying service and sheetrock repairmen! Having a leak was never so easily fixed for us, one call did it ALL! We called them back to replace one of our toilets and fix our masterbath showers lack of pressure. His son's replaced the toilet while he worked on our showers poor pressure. He tired a few things which sorta helped a little and didn't stop looking for the root cause until we were satisfied with the repair. Our shower is now heaven! I can't believe we waited so long to have him come out and look...he is truely a miracle worker with plumbing! Thank you guys for such wonderful repairs! Living alone, it is very important to me to feel like I am not being taken advantage of by service people who come to the house to fix things I have no clue about... I thought I had a leak in my plumbing. The guys first checked my washer and found it was leaking and the water was flowing into a crack in the wall. Bottom line, they were there for 5 minutes, there was no plumbing to do and they didn't charge me for the call. Maybe it was a Christmas gift since it was two days away, but I appreciated it and will call them when I really need plumbing work done. Pros: Charged only for work performed Cons: None more

Mickey, Tim and Randy are extremely professional and knowledgable. They assess a situation, propose a no-nonsense solution and address the issues swiftly. Their costs are extremely reasonable and you will be satisfied with their end results. I have called on the Plumbinator(s) on a couple of occasions for non-routine plumbing scenarios and would not hesitate to utilize their services in the future. I went through 2 other plumbers and then finally found James, with The Plumbinator. I had already spent almost $300 to NOT fix the problem. I had a slow leak that only showed up randomly. First, James came the day after I called and started trying to find where the leak was coming from. That cost me nothing! Then we had to wait for the leak to show up again and when it did I called and he came out just a few hours later. After extensively checking all possible areas (none of the prior plumbers did this), then found the leak. He was very patient and took his time. He did fix the problem and only charged for the time he started physically working, not when he started looking for it. I was and am extremely pleased and thankful. I am so grateful that I stumbled across The Pluminator so early in home ownership. I always dreaded something breaking in our house because it meant I'd have to search the yellow pages for 1-800 numbers where I feel so disconnected that I have to call more than one number to put myself at ease about the price I'm going to be spending. And then never really being satisfied or having an experience where I actually remember who did what job, so the next time something happens I'm starting all over again. After experiences with those shops I'm completly aware of The Plumbinators geniune concern for taking care of their customers, not taking advantage of them. I also love how personable they are, I really do feel completely at ease when they are in my home. They've serviced us twice now and I always leave the experience feeling good about the work done and feeling good about what I've paid. And being from Austin I love the idea of supporting a local business where I can actually know my plumbers name & a little about the family. So much that I am writing this review (my first review ever to write) to ensure that I am doing my part to take care of them like they've taken care of my family. This was the first time that I?ve had to call on a Plumber so I was very apprehensive. After doing some research I chose ?The Plumbinator? because of their positive customer feedback and the fact that they appeared well-equipped to handle any number of problems. I really struck gold with these guys! I couldn?t dream of a more honest or knowledgeable Plumber than with Mickey. He and his son showed up right on time and were nothing but professional until they were done. We had never used a plumber in Austin before, so we read other's reviews of the Plumbinator, and we were not disappointed. Mickey came out to our house on his day off to fix a ground leak. He was personable, kind, considerate, and best of all, very honest, upfront and caring for the best interest of our family. The leak turned out to be a bigger job than he had anticipated, and although his family was coming into town that evening, he stayed on the job late until it was fixed, and would not leave until he made sure all of the home's pipes were clear and safe. After all of that, he still only charged us what he promised to from the beginning, and that was already a good deal cheaper than what other plumber's quoted for the same job. We feel we found a plumber for life, and a friend as well. We could not recommend Mickey (The Plumbinator) enough. Thank you Mickey! Mickey and his son Kenny worked incredibly hard and resolved a serious leak in my bathroom. These guys do it the old fashioned way. They tell you what's wrong, they fix what's wrong and they provide quality workmanship at a fair and affordable price. This is a family business that's a throwback to the way things use to be done and you seldom see anymore. It also, was truly a pleasure to be around these guys. No greed driven corporate attitude here, just an old fashioned self-driven work ethic.I trust not only their workmanship but their integrity as men. The Plumbinator came out within two days of calling in order to repair a water leak in my yard. It was nice doing business with a local, family owned business. Mickey and his son were very friendly and explained exactly what the problem was, the cost of the repair and how much time it would take. I was happy with the quality of service and the cost of repairs. Mickey gave me options and verbal quotes on some optional plumbing work in another area.
