Having moved from NYC to LA recently, I can say that I've had the chance to enjoy some phenomenal steakhouses. From Peter Lugar, Sparks, Del Frisco's (and Abe & Louie's in Boston), there are quite a few places that demonstrate their mastery of steak. My novice survey of the LA steak scene tell me that the Palm is one of the best, certainly in LA. The prime rib was sinful (covered with blue cheese crumbles) and the creamed spinach perfectly seasoned. Granted, it can be pricey, but the atmosphere was authentic steakhouse (with an LA twist) and the service excellent. Would recommend highly.
