I stopped at this little place for some breakfast before a meeting. I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with homefries. First of all it was dirt cheap, second it was soooo good. The thing must have been at least 5 eggs, it was huge. I couldnt even eat it like a sandwich, i had to eat it with a fork and knife. Then there was a huge pile of homefries. This is my new breakfast spot for the weekends, perfect for hang overs. I'm actually looking forward to being hung over this weekend just for this food. The only bad thing was the music, they had 94.5 on. It wasnt so bad for me but I was thinking about the family that was dining there. the food out weighs the music though. Pros: Super value, large portions Cons: music more

Worst Mexican Food EVer 9/16/2006

If you think this is going to be ANYTHING like the wonderful Omeletrry in Austin, TX, think again. The migas, breakfast tacos, quesadillas -- and everything else on the "south of the border" menu --are close to inedible. Canned green beans in a quesadilla? This is Tex-Mex cooked by someone who has apparently never TASTED Tex-Mex. Run. Run fast. Ex-Texans should head to La Taqueria in Union Square if they want to remember what Mexican food tastes like. more

I thought that this cute cafe had potential but from the moment that I sat down, it was a disappointment. THe service was slow on a not-busy Sunday morning and the food was bland and poorly presented. Bland is actually kind. I had an omelette with chorizo which came with home fries and toast. The toast, clearly not made at the restaurant, was the best part of the meal. The omelette looked more like scrambled eggs and contained very little of the chorizo. The homefires were luke-warm and had the consistency of overboiled potatoes before you mash them. They didn't appear to have been fried at all. Again, the food was so bland that I almost felt compelled to go back into the kitchen and show the clearly ignorant cook how to use salt. My companion couldn't even finish his eggs, they were so tasteless, and he had to peel the fat off his minute portion of bacon before it was palatable. On the upside, the menu features some unique breakfast items. This place could have potential, but it needs someone who can actually cook and present the dishes listed on the menu. Pros: menu has potential, located near T stop in Brookline Village Cons: Terrible Food, Slow Service more
