From Toronto to Oakland, there is always the standby "Old Spaghetti Factory". They are all the same. It is a good place to bring your family, especially if they are not very adventurous. The meals are oversized, and the prices are fairly cheap. If you can venture to the Hill for good Italian food, I'd suggest it, but if you have no choice and picky eaters, I'd say it is fine. I don't prefer their pasta here, it always seems overcooked to me. more

Okay, but not great 4/14/2006

The spaghetti is good, and the meals do come with a starter (soup or salad) and a free scoop of ice cream. However, it's similar to what you would get with Olive Garden. The portions are average-to-small, especially compared to the other great italian places on the Hill. They are not well equipped to handle large groups, plus, the menu is extremely limited if you're bringing someone with dietary restrictions, or just a picky eater - I don't think they have a gluten-free option for allergy suffers. more

Worth the wait.... 4/13/2006

Typically, there is a wait at the Old Spaghetti Factory - but it is worth it! Cuisine here is affordable - and the meals are huge! The spaghetti is just amazing, and all dishes are served with an amazing salad and spumoni. Typically price is between $7 - $12....nowhere else can you get a great meal for this low price! Location here is fantastic as well - right in downtown St. Louis - and the restaurant itself is incredibly historic with beuatiful architecture. If in St. Louis - make this one of your meal spots! more

    The Old Spaghetti Factory has banquet rooms which are perfect for occasions like birthday parties, anniversaries, team sports events, company meetings, club gatherings, etc. Our rooms accommodate an intimate gathering of 25 up to a large party of 75 or more.

    Whimsical antiques and decorative items--velvet armchairs, vintage-looking fringed lamps and booths made from iron bedsteads--fill the dining room. The OSF Classics menu offers spaghetti with a choice of mushroom sauce, rich meat sauce, browned butter and feta-like mizithra cheese sauce, and more.
