Maggie provides a fantastic service. We visited Napa March 2012 and she cared for our 3 and 7 year old one evening. She was on-time, professional, caring and very warm. The children took to her immediately. That is saying something as my oldest is quite shy with new adults. She did her research to find out what my kids were into so she won him over instantly with Lego to play with! :-) I highly recommend Maggie as Napa Valley Nanny for any babysitting you need while in that area! more

We were in Napa for a wedding and needed child care for our 2 year old son, whom we've never left with a babysitter he didn't already know. From the moment we started communicating with Maggie we knew she would be a great fit, she was very detailed in questions to get to know our son and his habits so I felt very much at ease knowing that he would be in good hands for the night. When she came to the hotel, our son had an instant friend, she brought so many activities for him to do and cool things to play with he was over the top excited for her to stay and us to leave :) Maggie stayed in touch with me throughout the night with updates of what they were doing and sent me a few pictures of him having a ball. At the end of the night she had left us with two pages of all that had gone on while we were away. We will definitely hire Napa Valley Nanny again in the future and have recommended her to all our friends & family! more

My husband and I met Maggie Johnson when we shared her nanny services with a couple of friends who also have a young boy. Our son is 2 and the other boy is almost 5. She was absolutely wonderful with both and came totally prepared with toys, books, activities and food. We actually used her at a hotel so we didn't have any of the normal stuff to entertain our son but there is no doubt she was fully equipped to handle both kids, even though the two boys were different ages. We felt completely safe leaving our child with her (and this is only the 2nd time we've ever had a person watch our son who he didn't already know pretty well). Needless to say, I wish she was in our normal area of residence so we could use her services more often. I would highly recommend her. more

We were so lucky to find Maggie! We lost our regular babysitter to Boston University and had a hard time finding someone we could trust with our 9 year old Girl and 6 year old Boy. Maggie more

Maggie assisted us in July 2011 to watch kids of various ages while the adults had an enjoyable grownups only lunch at the vineyard. Highly recommend this professional, efficient and warm service. Maggie is flexible and tries her best to deliver the maximum and she comes prepared - really prepared with a car full of toys, activities and other fun thing to keep the little ones happy which in turn keeps the grownups happy! No idea where she gets the patience, fun ideas and energy, but I'll certainly be calling when next we have a big event that involves kids. Thank you! more

i never write a review anywhere but i had to make an account to leave a five star review for maggie. We hired her for our 3 year old boy when we had to go to a wedding in st helena, and he told me he had a great time. Maggie showed up with a lot of toys and a big baloon, which distracted our son from getting really upset about the seperation in a new place, i.e. A hotel. She left a detailed log about his evening and observation note about our son, which we appreciate very much. Thank you so much maggie! We will recommend her to anyone looking for a nanny/sitter for a small child in the napa valley area. ( when we came back, he was bathed and ready to go to sleep, which is a tall order with a nanny he has met for the first time! She is really good and i am so glad she was available.) more

We hired Maggie to watch our 20 month old daughter while celebrating a wedding in Napa. My husband and I were very wary about having anyone watch our daughter, as we have only had family members watch her in the past. We felt very comfortable with Maggie from the beginning. She was wonderful with Norah and brought several age appropriate toys for her to play with. She left detailed notes about their evening together and Norah was sleeping peacefully by the time we arrived home. Thank you Maggie for letting us enjoy a wonderful evening. more

We have been travelling for 3 months across the US and have used many nannies in many places. By the time the nanny arrived our boys (2 and 4) were always asleep - so a really easy job for the nannies. Maggie, however, insisted that she wanted to be there early, have dinner with the boys and put them to bed. (Giving us the chance to go for a drink before going out for dinner.) We explained that our boys do not speak a word of English (and Maggie does not speak Swiss German...) and that the boys had never been with a nanny they just met. But Maggie convinced us that this would work out fine. Guess what - it did! They boys loved Maggie, the toys she brought and the time they spent with her - and (at least as important...) Maggie won the parents' trust the moment she entered the door. Everyone had a great night - we would defenitively book Maggie again if we are back in Napa. (Maybe by then the boys will speak some English...) more

Maggie looked after our two girls (5 and 7) while we were visiting Napa from Australia. She was referred to us by the owner of our vacation rental and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Our girls also loved spending their time with Maggie and the creative activities she brought along with her. They even made us carry their craft around on the rest of the trip and home to Australia. The inclusion of dinner was a great added bonus! Thanks so much Maggie. We will definitely recommend you and be in touch again should we be lucky enough to visit the area again. more
