Here's a tip if you're female, travelling with a family, or just don't like perverts: the viewpoint that the Meritage may recommend to you is apparently a ""special"" spot for single males, if you know what I mean. Dangerous and foul. Lots of nasty stuff going on behind the scenes here, and not worth your honest money. Gross!! more

First time at the Meritage, here on business. It is in a commercial area which is strange driving in, but once you're on-property it's fine. Our initial room was in the Merlot building. Gorgeous, spacious suite with an outdoor patio. Fridge, microwave, washer-dryer, the works. Only one problem. No Wi-Fi. Since the building is pretty new I am sure they will offer Wi-Fi in the future but no Internet access, for a business traveler, simply doesn't work. Pros: null Cons: null more

Excellent overall experience 2/1/2010

I absolutely love this hotel! Gorgeous lobby & rooms, helpful concierge (recommended a fabulous restaurant for dinner), had a complimentary shuttle to/from the restaurant, great breakfast buffet, and very comfortable! We only stayed 1 night and we wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back! more

Great wine country getaway 11/14/2008

The rooms at the Meritage are beautiful. They have a wine cave and a great spa as well. Conveniently located, with excellend service and staff. Larger suites are available for long stays as well. more

Breathtaking spa. 2/27/2008

My friend and I visited this spa on a Monday. The spa is simply beautiful. It is the complete amenities you would expect including steam room and spa in each locker room. Therapists were good and friendly. We got the Friends Forever package since it seemed apropos. We were disappointed that they did not have our cheese and fruit plate ready when we arrived. I did confirm this ahead of time with the receptionist. They told us they would bring it after our services. We were starving since it was our lunch and now they were asking us to eat closer to 4PM. We asked if they could expedite it, but they explained that it takes a while for the Chef to prepare the fruit. When the tiny plate arrived it was hardly a site that took any effort. They didn't even serve the soft cheeses with any utensils. In fact, when I asked the attendant for a knife, she looked at us strangely and said that most people just eat it without. My friend and I couldn't believe that she thought we had asked for the most more

Beautiful property, though located in a business park. The Spa Terra is very nice, had a GREAT massage there !!! Clientele is definitely not that of a fine expensive resort.... I had SERIOUS problems prior to arrival with reservations via internet and trying to get help on the phone with reservations. If you go, do not expect what you would from a TOP RESORT, then you will not be disappointed. My overall rating is actually 2 1/2 Stars !! Pros: Spa Terra, proximity to Bay Area Cons: Internet or Phone Reservations difficult/ Email terrible more

Beautiful Resort! 6/20/2007

My husband and I stayed at The Meritage for a weekend of wine tasting in Napa. This resort is so beautiful! The room was very clean and spacious and we had our own private outside sitting area with a view of their vineyards. The staff was exceptional and the 24 hour room service really came in handy!
