Highly recommend 1/7/2011

I was in a party of 10, we had two excellent servers at the somerville location. They were very entertaining and knowledgeable, they kept the table laughing all night long. I shared the Big Night Out Lobster meal with a friend and the food was great in portion and taste. The salad wraps were very good, and a new experience for me. One of my favorite things of the meal was the curry dipping sauce. We had the S'more and Reese's peanut-butter cup chocolates for dessert and they were phenomenal. I've been to the melting pot 3 times, and I recommend it to all of my friends. more

Very good service and execution 12/27/2010

Our server was very friendly and engaging. She was receptive to the members of our party with food allergies, and made sure that there was no cross contamination. She prepared our cheese courses well, was appropriately friendly, asking us what we were celebrating, without being too in our face. Overall, she was very attentive, and was the best server we've had over the several occasions we've been to The Melting Pot (at this and other locations) more

Exceptional food and service! 11/30/2010

First upon entering they greeted us and were very friendly. They could not find our name in the reservations but accomidated us within 5 minutes of walking in. Our server made a wonderful impression on us throughout our entire dinner. We celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary and enjoyed every moment of it. The manager came over and introduced himself and asked if everything was ok that he heard they couldnt find our reservation and wished us a happy anniversary and said if we needed anything just ask. We love they way they dont rush you through your courses and are there when you need them. It was an absolute pleasure to celebrate there. more

The food was pricey, but fantastic. I wish there was more cheese fondue because there was too much bread and vegetables leftover. The same with the chocolate..not enough for the amount of goodies to dip. The food was superb. Our server was disappointing. He was boring, not friendly and we had to ask questions as it was out first time there.\r Also..we had a coupon for $10 off which we presented at the start of the order. He never took it off the bill and we had to track him down at the bar which took about 15 minutes after our meal was over. We were surprised he was killing time at the bar because the restaurant was full. Not sure we'd go again. more

The melting pot is a chain fondue restaurant. It is very pricey. The food is ok, not the best. I don't know if it was our waiter but the experience seemed to take forever. more

Excellent 6/11/2008

The Melting Pot offers a very unique dining experience. You sit at a table with friends, family, or loved ones, order your food, and make it yourself! It's awesome. I've never had fondue until I ate here and was pleasently surprised. The service was awesome. They combine the ingredients for the fondue right in front of you. It is very pricy but I'd say definitely worth it.\r \r It is also a very nice dining room with dim lights and an intimate atmosphere. Overall, awesome! more
