If I can accomplish one thing with this review it will be to save you from the pain I have been through. I have lost time, money and probably years from my life because of the Legends. When I lived there office staff was unpleasant to put it mildly but once I moved out is when the hell began.
Not only did I lose my entire deposit, despite completing what my mother (an ex-military brat) compared to a ""white glove inspection"" type cleaning but they billed me another $300. I took them to small claims court over the issue and WON. They were ordered to pay part of my deposit back plus all court costs. This was almost 2 years ago and they have PAID NOTHING!!! They still owe me every dime.
To make things even worse they sent a collection agency after my father (who had co-signed on the lease because I was changing jobs when I moved in) and didn't call the collection agency off after I won the lawsuit. Over a year later my father finds out that his credit score has dropped from 840 to 690 because of this. Now, while trying to refinance his house, he is dealing with trying to get his credit fixed, which as you may know can take months.
The management and owners of the Legends lie, steal and cheat their tenants. I have legal proof and am continuing to battle with them legally over the money they were ordered to pay to me. They have ruined my father's credit (at least temporarily as we are getting it cleared up) and they treat you like trash. When I called to try to get the credit issue cleared up the manager, Laura, hung up on me. I hadn't raised my voice or cursed but she was unwilling to take 5 minutes to listen. Then she has the nerve to call ME abusive.
I don't use the word HATE often but I hate these people...they are not good people and will rot in hell for the things they have done. They don't run an honest business. DO NOT LIVE THERE! DO NOT LIVE THERE!! Please take my warning.
When I first read all of these reviews I thought, ""huh, I'm a neat freak and I've never lost a single deposit or even a dollar of one in 12 years of renting. This won't happen to me."" IT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU!!! They do not play by the rules!!
