everything I have had there is good, but I love the chicken. I wish they would expand so that it wasn't so hard to get a table there at the last minute. reservations are a must. nice staff, relaxed yet upscale ambiance more

Best Brunch 1/23/2011

I was recently here for brunch with a group of friends. As our reservation number changed (a few times) the hostess was very accomadating about the changes. Our table was ready quickly, despite the different request. The service was amazing, friendly and efficient. Drinks were brought quickly, and the food was very good. The live music was entertaining and the space is quaint. I highly recommend this place for brunch! more

Delicious and original 10/3/2010

I went there with some friends this summer and was expecting another overpriced restaurant. However, this restaurant was worth it, and I am not easily impressed. The food was delicious and very creative. Kind of pricey for this area, but the portions are very large. more

Probably not going back 5/22/2010

10/29/11 -Did they change the cook??? Last time i was there it was the best, couldnt wait to come back. Took fiance there for birthday dinner this past weekend and the food was pretty bad - got the orange roughy and he got the angus steak w/ lobster. Ordered two appetizers that were probably better than our meals but thats not saying much. We were crammed in with other couples and was so loud in there i couldnt hear the waitress most of the time. I can take the atmosphere when the food is great but it was really average. probably wont be back as have definitely found better food with much better atmosphere. Sorry Left Bank, totally disappointed - Pros: food Cons: price more

Left Bank 5/5/2010

I would not recomment Left Bank. We were a few minutes early for our reservation but didn't get seated for like 20 minutes. The place was very loud. The service was slow and they nickel and dimed me for everything. My husband and I got 2 sodas each at 2.50/each. For $20 plus per meal I think we should have at least gotten free refills. I can go to my local McDonald and get free refills all day long. I will not be stepping foot back into Left Bank. more

My Favorite Restaurant 11/27/2009

Even as a current Los Angeles resident, this is hands-down my favorite restaurant...anywhere! I'm a Buffalo native, and am sure to make my reservations for dinner at Left Bank before each and every visit home. The food is incredible (my favorite is the Panko-breaded chicken), the atmosphere comfortably hip, and the service is outstanding. Whether you're looking for someplace new and interesting, or are from out-of-town and want the best Buffalo has to offer, Left Bank will not disappoint! Pros: Outstanding food, Fantastic service Cons: It's 3000 miles away from where I currently live!!!! more

Their is not an item on this menu that isnt prepared perfectly, presented with utmost care, and delivered professionally and steaming hot. The prices are so reasonable for the quality of ingredients used. I have literally wanted to throw my arms around the chef the meals are THAT good..Just an amazing dining experience.. I went to Left Bank for the first time this past winter. The service was great and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great date night spot or a place to get together with friends. You'll love it! good food and ambience 2/11/2009

i have only been there for dinner (maybe 4 times?) but hope to return for brunch. the restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy and have not had a bad food experience. the picky side of me wishes they would switch up their menu more, but i will definitely continue to be a repeat customer. Pros: great food and ambience Cons: a bit pricey, menu could be mixed up a bit more

Superb Food ! - A Buffalo Gourmet Review 8/19/2007

The Buffalo Gourmet and Mrs. Gourmet have eaten at the Left Bank perhaps a half dozen times this summer. This is absolutely superb food and service, no exceptions!! Invariably, the food is fresh, large satisfying portions, excellent presentation, very reasonable prices, fast friendly service, easy convenient parking, and easy access. The food in this restaurant is as good as any I have ever eaten anywhere in the world at any price. And they serve my favorite Irish Stout! One of the few restaurants I can say I can order absolutely anything / everything on the menu, (eyes closed even!) and it will be delicious! Excellent, excellent, excellent, and I am fussy! Pros: Superb Food! outstanding Service! Excellent Value! Cons: The chairs will cripple you. more

Best pork tenderloin 5/18/2007

The atmosphere is trendy but cozy. Although as the night goes on it gets a bit louder, the patrons seem oblivious to anything outside their table. The service is always equisite as I have been here several times. The homemade ravioli never disappoints and the pork tenderloin is always done to perfection. Love it. more

The Perfect Place to Celebrate 1/7/2007

The Left Bank has been my choice for several special occassions in the past few years. The atmoshere is cozy and quaint, yet fun. The food has been some of the best I have eaten in the Buffalo area...extremely flavorful with a wide selection to choose from. The waitstaff is friendly, and the service was prompt and unobtrusive. I would suggest reservations, especially on a weekend. I have recommended The Left Bank to many friends and coworkers as a perfect place to celebrate or just enjoy an upscale meal. more

Sensational Food 3/17/2006

My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary. Our waitress seemed a bit pretentious, and the bus boy was at our table more than she was (remove empty plates, refill drinks, get more bread, box leftovers). The food is amazing. I had the pork tenderloin in cranberry sauce and I'll be talking about it for years. Even though I was completely stuffed we still split a tiramisu which had fresh creme, strawberries, and raspberries on the side. Its a bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. Also we went on a Tuesday and it was still packed and quite loud in the dining area. Yes the parking lot is small, but so is the restaurant. Pros: taste, variety Cons: noise level, can be intimdating more

this is a reliable restaurant that never disappoints - the food is very good, the wine excellent, and the atmosphere great - you will need a reservation as they tend to get very busy and consistently stay that way - tucked away off Richmond Ave makes it a little hard to find if you do not know Buffalo, but use mapquest.
