Matthew D. Scott received a Juris Doctorate degree from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. He worked as a California State Bar-certified law student advocate and later as a team leader at the pro-bono Elder Law Clinic at McGeorge, assisting elderly clients with estate planning, Medicare/Medi-Cal issues, landlord/tenant disputes, and trust litigation. Mr. Scott has worked for various law firms in the Sacramento region, focusing on estate planning, probate and trust litigation, estate administration, Social Security Disability, family law, and workers' compensation. He opened his own practice in 2011. A vigorous advocate of alternative dispute resolution, Mr. Scott has takencoursesin negotiations and settlement and has completed over 40 hours of mediation training. He has assisted opposing parties to resolve their disputes without the need for court trials.
