Metro Style now specializes in Locs, traditional locs, interlocing, non-extension braids, sister locs, cornrows, flat twist, two strand twist and curls. more

Quality Skin Treatment for Razor Shaves 1/5/2009

My husband used a gift certificate at Metro Styles to address his razor bump issues from improper shaving, and I noticed an immediate improvement after 2 to 3 services. The skin care therapist, Tina McLendon, performed a signature shave service (pre-treatment men's facial), and the barber/owner performed the razor shave. Pros: High Quality Barber Service, without the fluff ! Cons: Appointment only hours more

Relaxation and Total Comfort 1/29/2008

I visited Metro Styles a while ago to look for some pampering services for my husband. The shop is all masculine--not something that 'used to be pink'. It is designed for men and their comfort with jazz playing in the bacground and hues of dark wood and leather. The location is definitely off the beaten path, but that is part of the charm and the relaxing effect. If you're looking for privacy, a peaceful atmosphere and personal attention by a professional Master Barber, this is the place! more

Perfect Shave Everytime and Excellent Personalized Service 1/25/2008

It's true, men need pampering too....but in a masculine salon. The barber spa is unique in this area, but popular in metro cities outside NC, and I'm glad Metro brought that theme to Raleigh, NC. I highly recommend this place, at least once .... guys treat yourself when you have down time or preparing for a special event. (e.g.) Groomsmen, prom, 1st date, anniversary, anything.....just go for the experience! Excellent retail products 10/15/2007

I purchased retail products (pre-clipper treatment & aftershave) and was very pleased with them. The pre-clipper treatment works perfectly and appears to help me get a closer shave. There is no redness or irritation during or after shaving when using this product. The aftershave product returns moisture to your skin as opposed to alcohol based products that strip moisture. I would definitely recommend to anyone who uses electric razors/clippers on a regular basis. more
