The Scene
This inn is tucked into hills along the rugged Sonoma Coast. It is a bit off the beaten path of the usual Wine Country tour, but if you want to escape both city and heavily trafficked countryside, the complex of two-story, hill-hugging buildings provides a pleasant option.
The Details
Most rooms have fireplaces and are appointed with fresh flowers and snack-stocked refrigerators. Start your day in the Bay View dining room, which offers a sweeping view of the ocean, or in the Tides Wharf Restaurant. Your night may end in one of these restaurants, as well, as you savor great fresh seafood specialties. Once a month, the inn hosts a dinner with a different winemaker from the region. The heated indoor-outdoor swimming pool has an adjoining sauna and massage facilities.
