The Homeplace is a pretty long drive for a meal, but once you try their home cooking, you'll be gald you went. The restaurant is an old farmhouse. They serve the food family-style, meaning they bring the food on serving trays and in bowls and everyone puts food on their own plates at their table. Thursdsay is the best day because it is the only day they serve pork barbecue. On Thursday and other days, they also serve roast beef, chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, pinto beans, biscuits and apple butter. For dessert, they serve cobbler with ice cream. The meal typically costs $11 if you get three meats, but is about $14 if you go on Thursday and opt to get all four meats. It is well worth the money. Just don't plan on eating at all that day prior to going.
