This store sold me a recalled baby crib, after I had ask if they check for recalls and was told they did. I took their word for it and bought it. I doubled checked before I put my new grandson in it and found it had been recalled. I called and talked to the owner, and she was defensive right away(put me on hold for about 5 min.) then said she was sure that the crib had not been recalled (because ""NOTHING GOES ON HER SALE FLOOR THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED"") but then did ask me for the name and model # and dates that the crib was made...I gave her the info and she said I was wrong..it had not been recalled, after a heated argument I hung up and called the crib company AGAIN, and was told that it for sure was recalled, so I called the owner back and gave her another chance to redeem herself. What a joke...she would not admit the crib was recalled but told me to bring it back in and she would give me my money back, I told her I morally could not do that and in fact was told by the crib company not to take it back to her store for fear that she would put it up for sale again. The company also told me what I needed to do to get a voucher for a replacement crib, she must have called the company also because at some time is our 2nd conversation (screaming match) she said she could get a free crib from the company so I should just bring it back to her and she would refund my money...how stupid does she think her customer are...why wouldn't I just send away for the replacement crib myself and make sure the recalled crib went in the trash where it belonged, I know I will sleep better at night knowing that it would be disposed of properly and not sold again. When I got to work later that day I had a message to call Sue (?) at The Growing Years...I did not return the call, because she seem to care more about her ""livelihood"" then the safty of her merchandise.
Cons: UNSAFE MERCHANDISE/ POOR CUSTOMER SERV.
