Not a recommended golf course for the good player 6/12/2009

This course is not recommended for the good golfer that wants to experience the typical ejoyable Scottsdale golf. The grass in the center of the fairways is brown or missing in many spots and even where the grass is green, it's not a pretty green color. The food cart is unreliable and will stop service any time they feel there's not enough people on the course. The day I played the service stopped at 1:00 and I was on the 4th hole and the parking lot had many cars so it wasn't an empty course. The greens were very sandy with large pebbles making it difficult to keep a putt in line. I was in 4 sand traps and each was very wet making a sand shot difficult. Wet sand at 1:00 in AZ is rare due to the heat! There's no marshal service and calling the clubhouse for marshal support didn't help. The club house is very small and pathetic relative to the typical Scottsdale standards. The views on the course were not awe inspiring and actually were visually boreing. Recommend that the intermediate, or better, player select a different course to play while in Scottsdale as there are plenty to choose from and many are within the same price range or cheaper. The course is in sad shape! I would only play this course when the fee was $25 (incl cart), not a penny more! Pros: nice chipping green Cons: grass condition, service cart, greens, sand traps more
