The Goddard School

The Goddard School is probably the best thing that has happened to our family, I am a working Father/Mother who sends both of our boys to the Goddard School. Yes, it is pricey, but you get what you pay for! Just like anything else. I am so pleased with the care and the curriculum that they have daily. The directors, Miss Kara and Miss Colleen and the Owner, Mr. Tony run a very tight ship there. They make sure that the teachers stay on task and make sure EACH of the classrooms are running smoothly by checking in . And it is sparkling clean every time I step into that school, not once have I ever seen the place dirty. My boys absolutely LOVE their teachers and look forward to going to school at Goddard...even on the weekends. I also love the fact that when my wife or I pick up the kids their teachers give us a full report of what they did that day, when they napped, what they ate and when they had a bowl movement! You bet, I am going to pay more than sending them to an average daycare! I more

We've had our child at this school since it opened. He is starting kindergarten in the fall and he will attend their after care program.\r \r I have nothing but positive things to say. Any concerns that I've ever had were handled diligently and professionally. My son has flourished under the education and socialization of the Goddard School in Skippack.\r \r Finally, I am a very actively involved parent. I've NEVER heard of kids being grabbed by the wrist or being screamed/yelled at. In fact, I've noticed each teachers ability to maintain their composure to understand that these children are developing and learning. They understand the need to educate and maintain consistent values that are aligned with the parents.\r \r This is an exceptional school with a great owner that truly cares about the kids. more

We absolutely love the experience we have had at the Goddard School in Skippack, PA. The staff is phenomenal and it is evident that the students are well cared for and engaged in the curriculum. We have only been there for a week and are so impressed by the whole package-the owner, management team and the staff. The staff is amazing at incorporating teachable moments into play time and my child has learned so much in just one weeks time!!! The owner is so nice and is always walking around the school to see how everyone is doing! The management team made us feel very warm and fuzzy. We love the hand scanner system and that there is always someone by the front door! Over all we are so happy with our experience at Goddard Skippack in just one week's time. We recommend this school to everyone! more

I too had the experience that they put him in a room when I told them he was not potty trained but I put him in his underwear and he has been doing great. There social awareness is critical around that time, that is why they put him in the room to be amongst his peers. They are working with him to help him. The owner is excellent and always is walking around the school to see how everyone is doing. My older son is getting ready for Kindergarten next year and his teachers always speak to him with respect. I've been impressed with their attitude towards the children. My younger son has been doing well at the school and enjoys having the interaction time part time. I'm sort of shocked at the first review. You shouldn't put your kid in a diaper in a potty training room. They don't have supplies there. If your child is not potty trained by the age you were supposed to put him in the school they help them but if your uncooperative they don't want your child to sit in a wet diaper. I have N more

I have had the best experience at the Goddard school in Skippack. My daughter who is now 4 years old has attended the school since she was 6 weeks old. I have loved the staff the old and current owners and the administration. My daughter will be on her way to Kindergarten next September and I feel very confident that she is more then ready to jump right into the Kindergarten program. My new baby will be here in the Spring and I am very excited to see his journey through this awesome program! more

We searched all over for a pre-school for our child. After doing a lot of research and school visits we decided to go with the Goddard School in Skippack. They seemed to be great with the tour--but with a lot of things the cover didn't match up with the actual care the children were given. There was a lot of yelling at the children, rather than re-directing and the last straw was when one teacher grabbed a little boy by the wrist and yanked his arm backwards as she screamed in his face AND appalled by this I emailed the owner and I still haven't heard a response. They are a for profit school that really only cares about the numbers--not your children! more

We decided to send my son to this school to try and save some money. I was extremely unpleased when I would pick him up in the afternoon and found out that his diaper was completely soaked. They had put him in a room with kids that were potty trained when we specifically told them that he was not. Then I was told that he need to learn with in a week or he could not stay. This is completely unacceptable. It was their job to place him in the correct room with the correct staff and then I was penalized. I would not recommend this daycare. more
