The Gingerbread House

My daughter absolutely loves GBH! She started when she was 2 1/2 yrs old and cries some mornings when she wakes up to find that she doesn't get to go to preschool to see her friends and teacher! The variation of music, concept, cooking, art and play throughout the day is perfect for her. GBH allows the kids to be kids while still doing an excellent job preparing them for elementary school! No complaints here! more

GBH is absolutely wonderful. My daughter attended the 2 day program last year & is finishing up with her 5 day program at the end of this month. The lessons are amazing, and cooking once a week is any childs favorite! Being able to volunteer even for one day will show you how much your child is loved by the wonderful staff, and how involved and educated they become. I have four children, and all of them attended preschool at The Gingerbread House. I visited several schools, and found GBH to be the perfect fit for our family. The curriculum has just the right blend of fun and learning, and the children always feel loved. I like the fact that the children are not in one room the entire time--they move around. The children's favorite part always seems to be cooking class. They learn math and science skills while taking turns and creating their own 'cuisine'. I also like the fact that most of the teachers are certified educators with a lot of knowledge about learning styles and early childhood education. They offer a 5-day program for 5 year-olds, a one-day program for 2 year-olds, 'mids' classes for 3 and 4 year-olds and also a Pre-K class. The Gingerbread House is a terrific place for your child to begin their educational career. more

What a nurturing environment they have created for 3 and 4 year olds! My daughter begged to go on her "off" days. They have a wonderful program and wonderful teachers. They do offer a summer program on different daily themes. The children move to different rooms every thirty minutes (playroom, music room, kitchen, concepts, art). If you ask around about preschools, people always seem to mention The Gingerbread House and only have positive things to say about it! 2 and 3 day programs offered.
