This is a nice tea room. Excellent pastries, sandwiches, many different teas to choose from. Service is fine and decor is cute,Victorian. Teapots are small and tea is pretty strong sometimes, but they refill them. Only negative is tables for four can be really cramped for space, and could really be larger. Overall, a very nice tea room! more

Just the place for high tea with the girls 9/26/2005

The Guilded Rose is a very girly place -- the building is a big purple house and its stuffed full of doilies, plump chairs and flowered china. Its not the place to bring a guy -- he will never forgive you. It is an ideal place to go with the girls or to bring your mom or daughter for a special treat. They also have a small room for parties and showers and have dress up gear for children's tea parties. Their shop is full of beautifl things as well. It is high tea, so its pricey (about $20 a person) and everything is miniture, but you most likely won't go hungey and its a very nice, girly place to go for some quality time with the special ladies in your life for some tea and gossip. more
