The Gardens of East Cobb

WARNING to anyone looking for an apartment in Marietta. DO NOT rent from Gardens of East Cobb. Understandably, we are a a bit dissatisfied by this small (660 sq ft.), roach infested (despite all efforts to keep clean and exterminate) , over-priced apartment after our car was stolen from in front of our door and our neighbors had their door busted down by a S.W.A.T. team for running an apparent drug cartel. Maintenance calls take forever to be attended to. The gates in this ""controlled access community"" are ALWAYS open so anyone can come in or out, at anytime. The laundry facility has had a washer and a dryer out since we moved in six months ago. When we brought our concerns to management, no one would call us back. I even left a comment a week ago in the ""resident feedback"" portion of the property's website and I have yet to receive a response. These people obviously do not care about their residents as much as they care about making a buck. I will now end this rant. I simply wanted to warn any future resident of the horrors we have endured more

January made 1 year that I have lived here and judging from previous posts they have made some changes. I love the staff and my apartment is great. Neighbors are quiet overall. Very pleased with my decision to live here. more

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO LIVE PERIOD!!! It is suppose to be a gated community but most of the time the gate is left open with no security. What kind of security is that??? They will lie and tell you anything to get you to sign the lease and once you do their lawyer tells you it doesn't matter what they said. You MUST have ALL utilities START billing in your name as soon as your pen hits the paper to sign the lease otherwise they charge you $50 even if the billing started one day later. They make up fees and force you to pay and fail to provide any PROOF of these fake charges!! They don't do ANY repairs!! The Management is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! They will walk into your apartment unannounced with as many people as they want and do whatever they want to do whenever they want to do regardless if you are home or not!! They don't want you to see the apartment you will move into prior to moving in because THE APARTMENTS HAVE MOLD AND MILDEW ISSUES AND THEY FORCE YOU TO SIGN AWAY ANY RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE TO RECOVER ANY DAMAGES FROM THEIR MOLD ISSUES!! Don't believe me' Check behind the refrigerator!! It is DEFINITELY not worth what they charge!! LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A PLACE TO LIVE!! I PROMISE YOU'LL BE BETTER OFF SOMEWHERE ELSE!! more

this is the worse apartment complex ever i have been a resident since 8/2 and omg i havent even been here for 6 months and these managers lol cant add or subtract on top of that the lease manager kelly is scared of blk people thats what she acts like i have been occuring late charges out the butt and my rent has been on time they opened a file audit on me what the for lol i never did anything if u ever think about moving here please i strongly encourage u 2 read the ratings posted on this site seriously before u do...oh..they had ant problems they like to come thru your faucets and in the washroom where u turn on the water and on the ceilings dont live around the trees maybe it will cut down on the problem...dont be surprised if their are notices on your door every month because of something they didnt add or subtract trust me dont say i didnt warn u...we moved here because a friends of mine used 2 stay here and sd they were cool but everything was good when i moved in just had 2 pay over a thousand to move in and this isnt roswell rd or ga-400 id pay it out there but needed somewhere 2 move and on top of that 2 of their people got fired already and quote i moved into the apt in august 08 and my girl that i filled out the application with got fired and the other manager got fired hmmm...weird i will never move here again they gets no rating... Pros: lights parking nice views Cons: ugly landscaping more

I am currently moving from these apartments. After staying there for almost two years I can truly say that they are the nastiest apartment I have ever seen. When we first arrived and saw the empty one bedroom we planned to rent the management told us that the insects were a result of the old tenants and not to worry. This was in fact a lie as we called exterminators every week for almost the whole of our stay. Let me point out that my apartment is flawless when it comes to clean, so that was in no way the problem. The insects were there the first day and stayed with us as if they to had rented the place. Also the pool has been under construction since we first moved in and doesn?t appear to be anywhere close to being finished. Another final point, there are dealers at about every building and they are kind enough to play there bass as loud as they want at all hours of the day. more
