Before I begin my formal review I want to express my disappointment in the pattern I see of websites that operate under two sets of rules. One for positive reviews and another for negative reviews. In some cases they refuse to post a negative review and when asked they freely admit that they are trying to get advertising from that person and therefore will not post anything negative. Another a trend I see is family and their friends coming to the defense of a negative review without disclosing their self interest. It's alarming because their recommendation might cause you to ignore a very sincere negative experience and find yourself in the same situation. So buyer beware! \r

Mark Cain at the Gardens at Ray Eden is a prime example of that. The very person who caused my daughter great hardship on her wedding day and is somehow related or a family friend to Mark Cain (that's what he told us) has attempted to offset our negative review on Google. She doesn't do that under her name, but instead hides behind her husband's name, I assume thinking we won't notice it. It caught my attention because she obviously wrote his review. The opening line under his name is ""my husband and me."" Not only that but there is also another post under one of her friends name.\r

I wonder how they would feel if they caused another bride to go through a disappointing experience on the most important day in their life because of their offseting reviews. This is not a post I want to make. It is a post I make to help others avoid having the horrible experience we had.\r

There is not enough space for me to describe how poorly we were treated by Mark Cain, the owner of the Gardens at Ray Eden. Mark Cain showed total disregard for both our verbal and written contract. There is no denying that the property is gorgeous, but don't let the beauty fool you. In fact don't let Mark Cain fool you. He can turn on the charm, but there is another side we and others have witnessed. For example, even though he clearly told us he only held one wedding per weekend, he booked a second on Sunday. His attitude was in his words: ""It is his property he will do what he wants!"" If that's the chance you want to take, go ahead take the chance of ruining the most important day in your life...Otherwise consider the many other much better alternatives out there. Buyer beware!
