After hearing really great things about The Garage Auto Repair from several relatives and friends, I decided to give them a try. There are plenty of good things to say about this shop. My first experience with themwas a very good one . First of all, each and every employee that I dealt with was exceptionally pleasant. I initially called from the side of I-25 after my Jeep overheated. The lady who answered the phone explained the program to me and dispatched their tow truck to where I was stranded. The tow truck driver was polite and gave me a ride to the shop. My Jeep was looked at almost instantly by a mechanic. After roughly 20 minutes in their waiting room I was given an estimate. Turns out that my thermostat got stuck. While I waited, they replaced it and added new coolant. I saw my Jeep go on a 10-15 minute road test to verify that there wasn't any other issues. Great value for the dollar. I was in the market for a new water pump for my Toyota. I phone shopped 8-10 shops in Albuquerque including the dealership and the shops claiming to be Toyota specific service centers. I instantly ruled out the really expensive guys (dealer and ""experts"") and I ruled out the cheap guys because I believe that you get what you pay for. The Garage had a decent price and they were able to get me in the next day. They informed me that they would need my car for one full day,and to expect it back by 5:30. During the repair, I was called and advised that the technician noticed a small oil leak (I saw an occasional drip) and that for a minimal price they could remedy the problem. I picked up my car at 5:30, as promised, and there are no more leaks. My bill was exactly what I was quoted plus the additionl amount for the extra work. I was impressed with the total program and would suggest that if you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic in Albuquerque, give The Garage a try. more

I called them to make an appointment and I was informed that they offered free towing. Within an hour, they had their tow truck at my location. About 9 a.m. the next day I was informed that my timing belt broke and that there was damage to my valves. I was given a maximum price that could go down depending on the machine work I needed. This is important...... I verified their prices with several shops and the dealer. There was a cheaper shop in town, but overall, The Garage was very fair with their prices, especially when compared to the dealer. I had an excellant first experience at The Garage. They towed my Geo from another shop that was trying to rip me off. They only fixed what I needed and did not try to sell me the farm. All I wanted was my car to run again, and thats exactly what they did. I highly reccomend them to anyone who needs a mechanic they can trust. more

I brought my car into The Garage for a second opinion. The shop around the corner felt it necessary to give me an estimate to restore my Geo back to it's original show room condition. After a really bad experience with a local mechanic, I found The Garage and they lived up to their reputation. The fixed my Land Rover after the other guy butchered it. While it was at The Garage, they also repaired my cooling system, sidestepping a potential major failure. more
