The Gables At Oak Creek

After reading the first review that was posted for our community I was a bit disturbed and confused, but then after realizing this theft incident did not occur at THE GABLES AT OAK CREEK, I felt as though I needed to make that clear to current and future residents that will read this review. \r \r I have been the manager for 2 years and my name is Amber not Sunn as stated in the first review. We also do not have gates in our community and did not have such a robbery, we actually did not have any theft issues last summer. \r \r I also checked to see if the person that posted this was a past resident to our community and as I suspected she is not. If you do read this Ms. Furnari, could you please delete the review as we do not want our community (the wrong community) to have a bad name due to your unfortunate incident with your community. \r \r Thank you, \r \r The Gables At Oak Creek more

To whom it may concern. My apartment was robbed on Friday the 13th in the middle of the afternoon. I have a 2 month old baby and a 3 year old daughter. I no longer feel safe in my own home and because of this ordeal I have not slept since. When this occurred I went to the office and received a phone number to call and the manager simply replied, ""Oh my, I better go home and make sure my things are still there."" When the police arrived they were surprised to find out no one from the office came by to check on us and change my locks, which is the first thing they should have done!!!!! My locks were finally changed the following Monday around 1pm because I had mentioned it to them 3 times. SunnThe manager had the audacity to say, ""Well, this time we wont charge you , we normally charge $50"". I have been a faithful tenant, always paying my rent on time despite a list of problems, one after another that myself and numerous residents in this neighborhood have had. The way things are ran around here if this could have been prevented It would not have been. And I have a perfect example why , which I will go into great detail in a later letter. I want out of my lease and I don't think I should have to pay a penalty for feeling unsafe, scared and for being robbed. Your Pledge to Customer Service says you are to make business decisions for the best of the residents. I feel helpless and upset. The longer I stay the more nervous and scared I become. I am afraid for myself and especially my children. The $2,100 dollars you are trying to charge me to leave is money that I could use to 1)Find a safe home for my family and 2)Buy back SOME of the things that were stolen. In closing Im not looking for charity. All I would like to see is fairness and that you honor your customer Pledge. I appreciate your time on this matter and hope we could resolve this matter as soon as possible. Sincerely, an unhappy, upset, unsatisfied resident. We have just left this place after years. It is too much money to pay...over a thousand a month to have issues with kids from nearby neighborhoods throwing eggs and so forth. People live literally on top of each other to the extent that, if you have children, you have not one moment without SOME child ringing the bell or knocking on your door. Worst of all The Gables has many policies and enforces NONE of them, rules for the pool, etc. After the manager leaves at 6, all kinds of annoying things start happening, and they do nothing to back up the residents or help them resolve issues. more
