The address given here is no longer accurate---Fresh Fish has moved up to 80th, near the intersection of 80th and 24th (next door to Larsen's Bakery). This location is much better than their previous Market St one! It's a nice place to stop in for lunch and grab some fish while you're there to cook for dinner that day. more

Have shopped here for years - courteous and helpful always. The seafood has always been TOP-RATE. When I want something that can't fail, I come here. more

Really Fresh Fish at Fresh Fish 3/24/2006

My husband recently discovered this place next to the Ballard Locks. I was nervous because I'm really picky about fish, and the place looks pretty sketchy. It's in the back of a convenience store (not even a very nice one). But it's actually a mom & pop shop that's totally independent from the convenience store. Every single piece of fish that we have bought there has been excellent. They are really friendly and helpful. This is definitely one of those secret neighborhood gems that judy's book is all about finding. more

Geat little fish store, in an unfortuante location - the back of a pretty crappy convenience store. They are separate companys, and the fish here is fresh and great. I highly recommend that you check it out. more

The Fresh Fish Company is located in Ballard, inside a convenience store! The owners of the Fresh Fish Co., actually own the convenience store too. These people know fish. If it isn't extremely fresh, they are not going to carry it. They often have smoked salmon collars, but you have to get there early. During the holidays, they always have many samples laid out. Other times, all you have to do is ask. We tried some fresh, not frozen king crab legs that were to die for. We are never disappointed when we purchase dungeness crab there. In fact, we are never disappointed with anything purchased there - salmon, oysters, pickled herring...yummy. more
