The Fairways At South Shore

A Tip for anyone looking to move into a lovely and safe Apartment Complex.....Do NOT MOVE into the FAIRWAYS AT SOUTH SHORE!!! Not a place to move a family into...Kids run in gangs and use vulgar language..Fitness Center and area bathrooms get vandalized..stolen TV....Swimming Pool GREEN (of the worst kind) None of the Amenities work...Management does not give 100% to the tenants only negatives to the tenants... The Fairways at South Shore needs to be CONDEMNED! This place is making League City and eye sore! more

Like the previous reviews state: this place has serious issues. We heard too many (stupid) excuses for dirty pools (or pools were simply locked), lack of security (gates are always open, day and night, no CCTV), rowdy tenants (young adults drinking in pool area, guns fired within complex), overall poor maintenance (garbage disposal area is nasty) and so on. Now our area has turned into a full fledged construction site, all parking spots are being used as staging area for roofing contractor, crews work 6 days a week REPLACING ALL ROOFS! Nobody told us that we would end up living on a job site when we signed up! I do understand the need for repairs but clearly a complete roof rehab has nothing to do with wear and tear. Gym has 60% broken equipment. There are so many communities around this area, I strongly suggest to look up reviews and take them seriously (we did not). Moving is no fun and once you are settled in it is too late. We live in the year 2010 and there simply is no excuse for filth, violence and not fixing things. Internet reviews are easily available and should help sending a strong message to management: no more profits for vaporware. You have been warned...... more

It would take me 4 pages to give you all of the reasons to not move to The Fairways at South Shore but I will try to keep it brief as possible::: RATS, RATS, RATS is the number one reason! We lived with rats for about 3 years with no concern from the apartment management at all. Our dog killed 5 rats in a 2 month period. That is not including the ones that were stuck on the sticky traps that the pest control used to ""control"" the rat situation. Also, not including the ones we caught eating our dog food out of their bowl or the one that jumped on my husband when he opened the hallway closet. Funny they wanted to charge us for some things when we moved out, however, they did not charge us for where the carpet was damaged where the nest of rats lived in the 2nd bedroom or to clean and dispose of the rat feces that was behind the washer and dryer, in the 2nd bedroom, and in the hall closet. They also never reimbursed us for the 3 times that we had to completely throw away everything in our pantry because it was covered in rat feces!!! There are so many other complaints but for now I will post this one (along with some pictures) on here and apartment ratings as well. I took pictures of the piles of rat feces and the damages the rat's caused and also the dead rats that we found (or live ones) and also the rats that our dog killed. It was absolutely filthy and disgusting and every time we called to complain (on a weekly basis, at least!) they just acted aggravated and annoyed with our problem. We even called and spoke with Lisa, the ""Property Supervisor"" for the management company and she had no follow up to let us know that the situation was resolved. Therefore, I will publish the pictures and all accounts of our life at The Fairways at South Shore. Check the reviews on apartmentratings. On top of all the management and maintenance issues,\r they keep your deposit even if you move out with no damages, then you have to spend 7 months waiting\r your turn in JP court to get it back. more

The Fairways @ South Shore was the worst experience. Better hope your air conditioner does not break. Their maintenance man is a joke, he could never get ac below 80 degrees for 3 weeks and was told by manager they would not seek a professional or compensate for rent. This was in July. Im not a complainer but this was totally unacceptable. I have lived in plenty of complexes and have never had such a awful experience. I read the reviews just like you before I moved there and thought this would not happen to me. This was just one problem I found with the complex, there are pigeons in attic and appliances never work properly and if they break they just get rigged.I have never written a review before But I would feel stupid if I didn't write one here.Managers Melanie, Vikki and Misty are the ones I had problems with.
