Everything you could want in a wine bar! The selection is not overwhelmingly large, but they have something amazing for every taste. The atmosphere is really comfortable (probably not great for groups larger than 4 people). Prices are really reasonable and the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and unpretentious...a rare grouping of qualities. more

I stumbled upon this place after looking for a spot to grab a drink after exploring the highline. This is a great place its open windows and relaxing atmosphere is perfect for what were looking for. A Cozy Wine Bar in the Heart of Chelsea right off the Highline

Owner Message
  • The Drunken Horse is a cozy wine bar located right under the highline. The menu is full of reasonably priced options from the old world, plenty of French, Italian, and German vinos are available for $8 to $11 a glass. Here we have a large selection of wines by the glass along with over 50 by the bottle. Enjoy a nice glass of wine after work or with friends on the weekends. Our Menu nods to the Mediterranean, with hummus, falafel, lebni, and feta-stuffed phyllo rolls. Charcuterie plates a mix of Italian and Turkish. You can pair meats and cheeses with wine or enjoy one of our Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with a twist. The Drunken Horse is a warm space that's adorned with exposed brick and hardwood floors along with open windows so you can enjoy a nice breeze.
