The Cottage Small Dog Daycare

My two dogs recently started going to The Cottage for daycare and we are so impressed and thankful. The dogs come home very happy and tired from a long day of playing with their new fur buddies and we know they are well taken care of by Jane and her staff. Jane even posts videos of the dogs playing on her Facebook page, so we can see them running around and interacting with others. The Cottage is a very safe environment with toys, indoor playground and a fenced backyard with a baby pool (weather permitting). We feel so happy knowing that our dogs have a fun place to go if we are working or going away for a day or two. more

This place was a God send for me. I needed to find a place to watch my small senior dog when business would call me away. Anyone who travels from time to time knows how hard it is to find a place that will give your dog the same care and attention you would. At The Cottage (a place only for small dogs) they did all that and more. They were able to keep up with my boy's demanding senior dog needs (special feeding, meds), while giving him the attention he needed and not charging me for it. Another close by boarding facility, I'll just name it - Best Friends charges for 10 minutes of playtime or attention or walks and is no better than an animal shelter. My dog would came home neurotic. At The Cottage the dogs are free to interact with each other and the staff all day and it is a little doggie paradise. Jane the owner is a true dog lover and very caring. Also, when you call the cottage to check on your dog, Jane always answers the phone swiftly, ready to tell you about your little pooch. In my experience many dog boarding places rarely answer the phone leaving you at their disposal with a cold voicemail. Another bonus, is their video updates of all the dogs staying on their facebook page. It was a bit of relief while away to see my dog was completely fine on video enjoying his new doggie friends. When I picked him up he was completely relaxed and well adjusted and so was I :-) Aside from family, The Small Dog Cottage is the only place I would trust leaving my dog. There he was always in loving and capable hands. more

We were thrilled to find out that Jane, the owner, opened a daycare/boarding facility just for small dogs. When our Chihuahua has stayed at another boarding facility a few times when our in-laws couldn't watch her she would stay in the corner of her boarding room and the staff would tell me that she wouldn't come out during the 10 min of one on one playtime I had to pay extra for each day. She stayed for five nights at The Cottage and the report I got from Jane when we picked her up was all normal happy dog behavior for our girl. Without Jane saying anything, I knew the stay had gone well. When I walked up to the door to get her I could see through the front window that she was sitting in Jane's lap while she worked on the computer. She loves doing this at home and will only cuddle up to someone she doesn't know if she is happy and comfortable in her surroundings. It's wonderful that the dogs get to run around outside so much and lounge around inside. Jane takes special care of each dog and knows their quirks. It was such a great feeling that our dog was happy when we picked her up. I highly recommend Jane and her daycare/ boarding at The Cottage for your small dog. more

I feel so fortunate that a friend told us about The Cottage ~ Small Dog Daycare. We were hesitant to leave our 7 month old puppy with anyone much less a ""stranger"" and after visiting The Cottage and seeing the personalized care she would get, we had no problem leaving her there over night. The dogs are not stuck in cages all day.....it is like they are in their own home. Jane (the owner) is wonderful with them and we couldn't have been happier with the care our pup received. She had a great time and i knew she was in good hands!! I would recommend The Cottage to anyone with a ""small dog"" (under 20 lbs)!!! more
