It's nearly an accepted truism that The Cheesecake Factory does desserts well. However I want to bring attention to a great little lunch item called the Over-The-Top Meatloaf Sandwich which has a sweet Bacon Jam and the meatloaf is marinated in Guinness®. Big "true American" portion size worked well as I had just come off my YYZ to FLL flight. Given I was already quite hungry, the service was a slower than I would've liked but still worth the wait. more

Great food from a very diverse menu. My Kobe Burger was awesome! The wife got the everything pizza and salad and both were equally great. Can't leave without cheese cake!!! But we had to get that to go!!! Good food, nice staff and nice atmosphere. Great place to eat. more

I like this place because there are a few things I love on the menu that I can't get any place else (Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp, Louisiana Chicken Pasta, Crispy Chicken Costeletta?, and the corn tamale cakes). I know when I eat here that I'll have to spend some serious time in the gym the next day, but the food is good and it's really rich. I don't really love sweets, so I can't comment on the desserts, but I have had the chocolate mousse cake and it was delicious. more

When I want good food close to home this is where I go. Most recently I had the Kobe Burger and it was amazing! Best burger in Florida bar none. They even let me add goat cheese to the burger. The service is always great even though they are really busy. Your food always arrives quick. more

Always happy after coming. Menu is a book. Portions are huge- I've never totally finished a meal. Save room for a slice of cheesecake or take it with you- I like banana cream but there are tons of good ones more

Excellent food & large portions...however, be prepared to wait as this chain has quite the following. The menu at this place is quite extensive to say the least. A multitude of choices are available for every taste & deciding what to order can almost be exhausting (a good dilemma to be sure). Love their turkey burger, best I've ever had! Be sure to try the iced mint tea...to die for! Even their complimentary bread is outstanding (both the white & wheat). Because this place is always so busy, the service is only satisfactory. The servers are friendly enough but they seem to be spread pretty thin among a number of tables at ant given time. Ironically, I've never tried their signature cheesecake (although family & acquaintances rave about it) as I'm usually stuffed by the end of my entree! Overall, this restaurant ranks pretty high up there & is definitely as must try if you're lucky enough to have one in your area. more

We had lunch here while shopping in Sawgrass Mills and were very happy with the food. We ordered Sweet Corn Fritters, Ahi Tuna Carpaccio, Evelyn's Favorite Pasta,and a Factory Burger.\r \r The corn fritters were fresh, hot and crisp but a tad oily. The tuna was excellent, fresh and very tasty. The pasta was an interesting mix of flavors but had a little too much sun dried tomato. The Factory burger was grilled just right and was very nice with the sourdough baguette it was served in.\r \r I love Mojitos and ordered a classic, our server told me it was generally made fairly sweet here and not minding I went ahead with it. The drink was very sweet and if you like your mojito dry you will not like this version.\r \r The server was great but our food took a very long time and we saw people seated during our appies receive food before us, however both the server and the manager were at the table to apologize on more than one occasion and we were in no hurry.\r \r This is a great place and the food is a treat. more

Rude Staff and Poor Food. 8/20/2007

Regular patrons know that embarking on dinner at The Cheesecake Factory on the weekend means you usually wait about 30 mins for a table and another 10 to be seated. The wait was not an issue in the least. Pros: Good Food, Large Variety, Great Cheescake Cons: Poor Service, Long waits more

Not what everyone makes it to be 6/25/2006

food is fair - service is HORRIBLE!!! - Everytime I go here, I have to wait at least 10 minutes till my server gets to the table, and when they finally do, it takes another 10 minutes to get my food - the food is not good enough to wait that long - Its not that I would never go again - but only after work (10:30pm or later) that is when i only have to wait 8 minutes for my waiter!! Good chain restaurant could polish service 5/4/2005

First thing you notice is the wait, whenever you try going -- there will be one. Means that it's popular and must be good, right? Well, the enormous menu means that everyone will find something that they like. That being said, I have yet to find any signature dishes that I long for. The service is also often curt and unfriendly, and rushed during busy times. Obviously the cheesecakes are their signature desserts, but the portions seem to get smaller each year?!? THE CHEESECAKE WAS JUST TO DIE FOR. I NORMALLY DID NOT LIKE CHEESECAKE, UNTIL I HAD THEIR CHEESECAKE. I WAS NOT REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE FOOD, BUT MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE OF WHAT I ORDERED. We loved this place! You could order lunch portions after lunch hours. BIG portions. The Salmon was EXCELLENT!!! The bread was a treat. I don't care for Cheesecake but others in our party do. Some of the cheesecakes were outstanding and others not as good as that but still good. The price is worth it when you consider you get enough left over to have another meal at home. The ambiance at The Cheescake Factory, should be noted as the best thing they have to offer. We tried the German Chocolate Cheescake (which was a huge disappointment and didnt taste very fresh) and the Tiramisu, of which the best part was the real Whipped cream on top The prices are high and you will be compelled to ask for a doggy-bag, mostly due to not wanting to throw your money away! Phenomenal! 5/17/2003

It is true, Las Olas has been, for years, the domain of the independent trendy eating establishment. If someone had told me 5 years ago a chain restaurant would come in and top the best restaurant category, I would have laughed. But, then again, this is no ordinary Cheesecake Factory. I was informed that the resident bartender gets sent out all over the country to ""open"" new restaurants, this should hint at the level of service to expect. It is top quality service, combined with Las Olas street level ambiance that make this one extraordinary dining experience! Pros: Ambiance, Food, Service Cons: Lines, Pricing more

The deserts are consistently great, both in visual impact, taste and quality. You have to really committed to cope with the wait and crowds, but once seated, service is A+ and accomodating. Love it here, especially the salads. Have been to the one in Boca, and since I live near Sawgrass I go to that one most of the time. Service is great, but you have to go with someone, as the portions are enormous............. more
