Actually, I was expecting a wonderful morning. To start off with, my friend and I did a yoga class which was absolutely wonderful. Afterwards, we changed our clothes, and then headed for the facial. When we arrived in the waiting room, there were not enough seats to accommodate everyone in the room. Also, it did not seem to be the ""spa"" touch at all. Leather couches with very bright rooms. Like you were sitting in a waiting room at the dr. office. The facial itself was great; however, the room that the young lady had me in was bright due to the sunlight. I have had facials many times, and every time, it is dark and relaxing to the point where you want to go to sleep. This was not. The facial was really nice. Then my friend and I went back to the waiting room for our next service. Not a seat was available, so we stood for about 10 minutes until it started to clear out. It was like a herd of cattle going thru due to the amount of people. I was taken to my pedicure and what a disappointment it was. TOTALLY. The lady I had was more interested in talking to her friends than she was taking care of me. She started later than everyone and finished about 5 minutes before everyone. There were around 7 of us in the room. My friend and I were very disappointed with the service. We both started going to spas when I was dating my husband 3 years ago. We went to a place in Arizona that was lesser in price with amazing service---Touch of Tranquility. I have been to spas in Birmingham that I received facials that were so much more superior to the facial I received there at the Chateau. Furthermore, the pedicure,,,,,well,,,,,my typical ""every"" 3 week pedicure at the local ""no appt needed"" nail shop is better too. In fact, my local pedi is $23 where Chateau's pedi was $60+tip. Yes, ladies, they go ahead and ""make"" you pay for the tip up front. I would have tipped the facial,,,but definitely not the pedi.
Pros: yoga class was great. very clean
Cons: service was like a herd of cattle
